Speaking in Rajya Sabha, Union Minister and Leader of the House, J P Nadda said, "Our members (MPs) have been raising the issue of the connection between Sonia Gandhi and Soros. This is a question about the sovereignty of the country….

Bringing a no-confidence motion against the Chair is a design to deviate the attention of the nation from the issue of the sovereignty of the country…It should be condemned by one and all. They have never respected the Chair..."

BJP spokesperson C R Kesavan on the Opposition’s "no-confidence motion" move against Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar :

"The opportunistic INDI bloc harbour sheer contempt and has shocking disdain towards parliamentary propriety and our constitutional values. 

"This opportunistic den of dynastic parties has been repeatedly disrespecting and denigrating our cherished democratic traditions."  

"We want the Parliament to function. We all know that LoP Rahul Gandhi, in yesterday's meeting as well, has expressed explicitly that we should allow the Parliament to function. 

Deputy LoP Gaurav Gogoi wrote to Speaker, requesting the removal of words by BJP member Nishikant Dubey from the  records of Parliament," says Congress MP Manickam Tagore.  

On the No Confidence motion, CPI MP P Sandosh Kumar says, 

"It is not a question of majority or minority. The point is that we are constrained to move such a resolution against the chairman of the Rajya Sabha because it is evident that he was helping the ruling front and all democratic norms were violated. 

"One-sided approach by the chairman of the Rajya Sabha, always helping the ruling front and denying the genuine rights of the Opposition. He should not be part of any front...".
