Hstory, Power Politics or Politics of Power ... Distortion :::: And the impact is Visible :::: Dr Ambedkar ... went away from real politics at the peak of career - Was it a blessing for him?

Impact of distortion or negativity can be hidden for a while. But the impact will be surely visible one day.

Dr B R Ambedkar ... went away from real politics at the peak of his career - Was it a blessing for him ?

The chairman of the Drafting Committee of the Constituent assembly and India's first Law Minister is in focus these days. That's the scope of one's success. Years after one is dead, the nation is debating and discussing him intensely -- definitely more than the country had gone earlier with him !

The Congress has actually woken up from a slumber. After ignoring and pushing him to the margins of political credit-seeking business for decades; they are suddenly pushed to the wall. They have to scream - Ambedkar, Ambedkar. But all that is a lip-service at best. And the pathetic outcome will be -  things will boomerang.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's legacy today is with the BJP. Probably even Patel would not have liked it. But that's how things have spanned out.

Will Ambedkar become such a cult figure vis-a-vis the Lotus party ? The 'Congress mukt' Bharat may arrive faster than the Sickular gang and Rahul Gandhi's eco system would have expected.

Nehru always got a good press and virtual sycophants as history writers. Even the likes of  Dominique Lapierre (the celebrated French writer who glorified Colonial masters) had also glorified Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru.

Blue is the colour of the season !!

Thus others did not get due recognition. Dr Ambedkar was one of them certainly.

Lapierre signed a copy of his book for me !! (2009)

A small example of 'hiding fact' is here --

Nehru did not mention about 'Partition' in his first speech in 1947. Why ?

How could he ignore that gory chapter but Jinnah did mention !! ???

Did not Nehru fail to face or speak about REALITY.... ?

He was just playing a merchant - trying to sell optimism of the future.

Now focus on Ambedkar -- Like Netaji Bose and Sardar Patel -- Bright career robbed by destiny and Manipulation !!

Patel legacy : Statue of Unity

Unlike many celebrities and successful politicians, Dr Ambedkar's biggest achievement was that his entire life was a work in progress !!

He struggled hard ... probably from childhood and made things different -- he could do away with 'wheel of birth' kind of argument/racism related to one's birth. Bravo indeed and that too in a caste-ridden society like ours.

** Babasaheb Ambedkar's initiation into Buddhism with his 8,50,000 supporters historically in the world, because it was the largest conversion in the world.

** "Mahant Veer Chandramani", a great Buddhist monk who initiated Babasaheb to Buddhism, called him "the modern Buddha of this age".

Based on a global survey called "The Makers of the Universe" a list of the top 100 humanist people of the last 10 thousand years was made by Oxford University, with which the fourth name was Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.
