PM Modi launches BJP membership drive

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sept 2 launched the BJP’s membership drive at party headquarters in New Delhi. He got his membership renewal certificate from party president JP Nadda. In his address, Mr. Modi said the BJP is the only political party in India that is following the democratic process while expanding its work and continues to improve itself to live up to the expectations of the people. He said, from Bharatiya Jana Sangh till now, the party has made all possible efforts to be a new political culture in the country.


 


The Prime Minister said once border villages of the country were known as the last villages, and it reflected negativity. However, the BJP government decided that these were not the last villages but the first villages. He asked party workers to form a special unit and run a membership drive in these villages, making the entire village members of the BJP. Mr. Modi said there are such areas in the country where facilities have not reached even after so many years. He said the BJP government has started a special effort by creating the PM Janman Yojana.


 


In his address, BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda said the BJP is the only party that works in accordance with the values imbibed in the Indian constitution. He said Mr. Modi is the Pradhan Sevak of the country and an inspiration and a role model for all party workers.


 


Senior party leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the BJP is not only the world’s largest political party but also the most democratic party. He said no other party conducts its membership drive with such transparency and honesty as the BJP. He said the BJP is the means to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.


Senior party leader and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said our party workers must translate the promises into actions; this is why the BJP stands out as the most credible political party in the world.
