PM Modi meets Ukraine's Zelenskyy in New York, holds bilateral talks
This was Modi's second meeting with Zelenskyy in about a month.
Modi met Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in New York on the sidelines of UN General Assembly and discussed ways to enhance the ties between the two countries and add momentum in sectors such as connectivity, trade, and culture.
Modi is in New York for three-day US visit where he addressed the UN's Summit of the Future held against the backdrop of raging global conflicts.
In August this year, PM Modi visited war-torn Ukraine and emphasised India's stand for peace in the country's ongoing conflict with Russia.
"Conflict is especially devastating for young children. My heart goes out to the families of the children who lost their lives and I pray that they find the strength to overcome their grief,' PM Modi said as he became the first Indian prime minister to Ukraine since Kyiv gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.
