Guest Column :::: Amit Shah's first tenure as Home Minister was outstanding as it marked abrogation of Art 370 and framing of new criminal justice laws, says corporate captain and well known columnist G V Anshuman Rao

Shah -- BJP's Man for all seasons, has pivotal role in Modi 3.0

It would not be wrong to say that Amit Shah is the chief executive officer of the government, responsible for its performance, outcomes and implementation of major initiatives and programmes outlined by PM Modi.  A decisive administrator, organisation builder and ace election strategist, Amit Shah is on course to becoming the country's longest-serving Home Minister.

Having created records and benchmarks in the positions he has held so far, Amit Shah has a pivotal role in Modi 3.0. He is the chief implementer of Narendra Modi's vision for the country, a key architect of BJP's future, commander of the country's internal security and a pivot of the ruling coalition - now dependent on allies for its majority in Lok Sabha.

He has a key role in how the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance government delivers because of his reputation, stature, position and abilities.

Amit Shah's first tenure as Home Minister was outstanding as it marked abrogation of Art 370 and framing of new criminal justice laws replacing the British era satutes. Of course the challenges continue to emerge in a diverse country that has two hostile neighbours and has been tackling terrorism and naxalism in different parts for decades.

A key achievement of the BJP-led government has been its approach to tackling terrorism.

Anshuman Rao: Candid voice !

The Modi government has displayed firmness in dealing with separatists and their sympathisers in Jammu and Kashmir. There has been a larked reduction in violence by the Left-wing extremists as well.

Peace Accords have been signed with several groups in north east to ensure  stability and peace. An enhanced sense of security is felt by every citizen of the country due to the works of the Union Home Ministry.

The clarity of vision and boldness in approach have enabled the BJP-led government to bring about a reduction in violence in Jammu and Kashmir and push it towards normalcy.
