Bengal's 'aapa' gets the adjective .... many thought should have been given long back : Kolkata rape victim's father attacks Mamata : 'Why the duplicity?'

Now things may hit 'aapa's' reputation further.  The victim's mother reached out to people of West Bengal, particularly those benefiting from the state government schemes like Kanyashree and Lakshmi Bhandar !!

Mother of the deceased doctor says, "Through you, we want to give a message to the people of the whole country. We are grateful to all the countrymen, people of the world and the state, we request that you stand with us until the accused is caught. We only wish that this should not happen to any mother, no one should lose their child like us..."

The father says, "This should never happen to any other human being..."

Father of the trainee doctor who was raped and killed at a Kolkata hospital claimed that the statewide movement over his daughter's death is being obstructed by the Bengal government.

The father of the trainee doctor who was raped and murdered at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital has accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of adopting a double standard in addressing the tragedy which occurred with his daughter last week.

Speaking to reporters in Kolkata on Sunday, the victim's father said, "The Chief Minister speaks at length, walking the streets demanding justice for my daughter. Yet, at the same time, she attempts to suppress public anger. Why is she engaging in duplicity? Is she afraid of people? We have questions that need answers".

Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar says, "BJP will continue to protest. Tomorrow BJP will organise Raksha Bandhan programmes for women's safety at 15 major locations in Kolkata under the leadership of Mahila Morcha...

On August 20, our MLAs will protest. On August 21, our MPs will protest. On August 22, the protest will continue and we will gherao the Swasthya Bhavan. On August 23, our Mahila Morcha will protest. Our protest will continue demanding Mamata Banerjee's resignation."

Mamata Banerjee actually lacked the real guts when she was to float Trinamool Congress. It was floated by Mukul Roy - whom probably she would be missing these days as the crisis has triggered by the rape of the modico has hit her deep. In 1998 polls, she was BJP's ally and became Minister in the Vajpayee government and then later she started playing politics and resorted to 'appeasement' anything about Muslims especially their radicalism.

Didi became 'aapa' --- and she thrived in the 'glory' (sic) which produced quiz masters as Netas (also sic) and of course trying to insult Hindus and ignore Hindu sentiments.

Could it be compared with Singur and Nandigram --- Buddhadev Bhattacharya - the last Marxist Chief Minister died recently and he could be smiling from above -- if the communists believe in the concept of heaven and hell !!

"Those who are protesting freely are finding their voices stifled by the Chief Minister. While she herself takes to the streets in protest, she is simultaneously making arrangements to ensure that others' protests do not take place," the ill-fated father said.

Meanwhile, the victim's mother reached out people of West Bengal, particularly those benefiting from government schemes like Kanyashree and Lakshmi Bhandar. "They should think twice about their safety before accepting such benefits," she warned.

The victim's mother also reiterated her demand for justice and said that only then would she accept financial compensation from the state government.

"I call for the harshest punishment for those responsible. Only then will I consider the issue of financial compensation from the state government. Justice must come first, and only then will I accept any form of compensation," she added.

The remarks came hours after Kolkata Police imposed prohibitory orders near state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, banning meetings and assembly of more than five persons.

The hospital had become the centre of agitation following the rape and murder of a woman doctor in the medical establishment.

Kolkata Police has clamped Section 163 (2) of (Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita) around the hospital. According to a police release, prohibitory orders have been imposed from the vicinity of the hospital till Shyambazar five-point crossing.

Notably, the state Governor has already called her Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde !!

Senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar says, "This is the misfortune of the country that instead of respecting and protecting women, parties and leaders encourage atrocities against them. In Delhi, at the Chief Minister's residence, their own Rajya Sabha MP was insulted, they did not even take notice of the incident. So will the country and everyone accept such leaders and parties?...

"In West Bengal, incident after incident is happening. The Chief Minister is protesting, is conspiring, but not getting justice. And that is why it is highly condemnable.

In the country where it was said and all religions said, there is no one like mother and mother is the most unique path in the world, such a thing happening there is highly condemnable and intolerable, unconstitutional and inhuman....".
