Height of Nepotism and Confidence of a wrong doer :: 'aapa land' report' :::: Kolkata rapist Sanjay was staying in police barracks !!

Sanjay Roy, the man accused of raping and murdering a 31-year-old doctor inside Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, reportedly confessed to the crime during his polygraph test on Sunday.

Sanjay Roy, a civic volunteer with the Kolkata Police, arrested on August 10, was staying in police barracks, where his stay was arranged by a cop.

Roy was arrested for rape, murder of the ill-fated trainee doctor in Kolkata. He was staying in police barracks, where his stay was arranged by a cop.

Sanjay Roy, reports say, did not show any 'alarm' even when he was made aware that the police were looking for him.

A day after the body of the trainee doctor was found in Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. During his initial interrogation by the Kolkata Police, Sanjay Roy revealed that he was a habitual drinker and was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crime, sources said.

Sanjay Roy was identified by a patient admitted to the hospital, who was the brother of one Saurabh, a friend of the accused.

Roy, after committing the crime, went to the barracks of the Kolkata Armed Police's fourth battalion, where Assistant Sub-Inspector Anup Datta had arranged his stay. When he woke up on August 10, he again consumed alcohol and slept.

After waking up, he got a call for lunch by his friend Saurabh, another civic volunteer who visited the red light area with him on the night of the crime.

Saurabh told Sanjay about an incident that had happened at the RG Kar hospital and that the police were looking for him.

"I will see," Sanjay told Saurabh before leaving his place. He did not eat the food offered by Saurabh and consumed alcohol again after going to the barracks.

The police team searching for Sanjay Roy found him in the barracks. At the time of his arrest, Roy was under the influence of alcohol.

A medical test was conducted on Sanjay Roy, in which scratch marks were found on his hand and thigh, implying that the victim tried to fight back while he was assaulting her.

The cops took Sanjay Roy to the hospital for questioning along with other suspects. During the interrogation, the cops seized the mobile phones of all the suspects.

The police had seized some evidences from the crime scene, which included a bluetooth headphone. After the questioning, one of the officials attempted to pair the seized bluetooth headphone with every suspect's mobile phone and to everyone's shock, Sanjay Roy's phone automatically connected to the device, prompting his immediate arrest, sources said.

When confronted by the police team, Sanjay broke down and confessed to committing the crime, demanding that he be hanged. In custody, he also confessed to molesting a woman in the street on the night of the crime.

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officers conducted the lie-detection test on the prime accused in the alleged rape and murder of a lady doctor at the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.

CCTV footage reportedly showed Roy entering the emergency building at 4 am on the day of the incident, wearing a bluetooth device.

When he left 40 minutes later, the device was missing.

It was later found near the victim’s body. The police paired it with Roy's cellphone and thus linked him to the crime.

The  lie-detection test was conducted at Kolkata's Presidency Jail where Roy is lodged, the report added.

A polygraph test popularly known as a lie detector test is conducted by using a machine that measures a person’s physiological responses when they respond to various questions. According to the American Psychological Association, the purpose of the test is usually to prove whether or not a person committed a crime.

Roy reportedly turned emotional when the judge asked him why he was consenting to the polygraph test, according to another report by TOI.

The accused told the court that he did not do anything and is being framed. "I haven’t committed any crime. I’m being framed. Maybe this test will prove that,” he was quoted as saying by the publication.

Sanjay Roy reportedly 'harassed' another woman before doctor's rape-murder.

Last week, the Supreme Court questioned the Kolkata Police why they took over 12 hours to register the FIR.

It also said that Sandip Ghosh tried to pass the rape and murder as a case of suicide. The agency is also probing the financial irregularities allegations against Sandip Ghosh.
