BJP blasts 'black attire' politics !! ..... “They wear black. Their deeds are black; they want to paint the country black"

The BJP on Friday described Opposition as a “third bottleneck” in the country’s economic growth !!

BJP leader and former Rajya Sabha MP Syed Zafar Islam told a press conference, “They wear black. Their deeds are black and they want to paint the country black because its growth makes them unhappy.”

“Those who wear black clothes may cover their eyes but they cannot cover the eyes of people," he also said.

The Opposition MPs coming for the day's proceedings in Parliament in black attires have hit headlines on Thursday, July 27 --- a day after Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi's No Confidence Motion against the Modi government was accepted by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.

BJP lawmaker and Leader of the Upper House (Rajya Sabha), Piyush Goyal has already mocked the Congress and said even black crows have given them a chase."I think that the people who are wearing black clothes can't understand the increasing power of the country....Their present, past and future are black," said Goyal in the Rajya Sabha amid slogan shouting.

In fact, this is not the first time Opposition lawmakers have tried the gimmick; in 2014, Trinamool MPs have tried the same card.

Zafar Islam said, the Opposition is the “third bottleneck” in the country’s economic growth, with the other two being the Covid-19 outbreak and the Ukraine war.

The BJP leader of course said, PM Narendra Modi and his government have successfully steered the country's economy to boost the country's growth.

On a  day the opposition parties presumed they have moved heaven by tabling the No Trust Motion against his government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave his virtual knockout punch leaving the detractors in disarray and puzzled.

“On the basis of track record, in the third term of our government, India will become the world's third-largest economy. (Yeh Modi ki guarantee hai) This is Modi's guarantee,” the prime minister said in his address during the inauguration of the International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) complex, rechristened as Bharat Mandapam on July 27.

Interestingly, the communists government in Kerala has also faced attacks over “high-handedness”.

This unofficial “ban” is also sometimes taken to extreme lengths.

In February, the Kerala Police removed a black flag put up as a mark of mourning following the death of former CPI(M) legislator C P Kunju before Vijayan turned up at his home to express condolences.

At another function at a college in Kozhikode, students were advised not to wear black masks and black bags were not allowed into the auditorium.
