Saroj Pandey made BJP national vice prez; does she misses being CM-face ? ex-AMU VC Mansoor, Naga leader Chuba also made BJP vice Prez


Prominent and vocal former West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh has been dropped while Anil Antony, son of veteran Congress leader A K Antony, has been made a national secretary.


J P Nadda makes ex-AMU VC Tariq Mansoor BJP natl vice prez; Abdullah Kutty from Kerala and Chuba, Nagaland also in new list. 


Two prominent names Dilip Ghosh and Sunil Deodhar have been replaced. 


Former Union minister Radha Mohan Singh, a Lok Sabha MP from Bihar, has been dropped as a party vice-president. Dilip Saikia from Assam also dropped as national secretary.


In the the run to the 2024 crucial parliamentary polls, the fresh appointments reflect party's roadmap and working style and some of the announcements will have significant political impact.


The new list has 13 national vice-presidents, nine general secretaries, including B L Santhosh as the in-charge of party organisation, and 13 secretaries.  






Keeping state elections in view, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and ex-Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh have been retained as vice presidents. 

 Telangana state president Sanjay Bundy has been removed from his post and made General Secretary. G Kishan Reddy is now new Telangana chief.

Uttar Pradesh's Radhamohan Agarwal has also been made General Secretary.


Radha Mohan Agarwal from UP, Sunil Bansal from Rajasthan, Kailash Vijayvargiya from Madhya Pradesh have been given the responsibility of National General Secretary. A total of 8 leaders have been made National General Secretary.


Maharashtra's Vinod Tawde has been made national general secretary. Pankaja Munde, who is said to be unhappy with the party top brass, has been appointed as national secretary along with Vijaya Rahatkar.






Former Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) vice-chancellor Tariq Mansoor, now a BJP MLC in Uttar Pradesh, has been made a vice-president, a decision seen to be part of the party's overtures to Pasmanda Muslims. Most of the office-bearers have been retained as vice-presidents, general secretaries and secretaries in the new list.

Arun Singh, Kailash Vijayvargiya, Dushyant Kumar Gautam, Tarun Chugh, Sunil Bansal, and Vinod Tawde also continue as general secretaries. 


Former UP unit president and member of the Rajya Sabha, Laxmikant Vajpayee has been made national vice president.


Nadda dropped CT Ravi, a leader from Karnataka, and Dilip Saikia, a Lok Sabha MP from Assam, as its general secretaries, with sources indicating that they may be contesting the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. 

Kamakhya Prasad Tasa replaces Dilip Saikia from Assam in BJP as national secretary in new the list.

Bhartiben Syal is now no longer party vice-president and new names include Lata Usendi and Tareek Mansoor. 








Vinay Sonkar and Harish Dwivedi also have been dropped while Naresh Bansal replaces Sudhir Gupta as Joint Treasurer of the party.


Ms Saroj Pandey is back in the team as Vice President and does it mean she missed out being presented as party's CM face ahead of Chattisgarh elections. Former Chhattisgarh CM Dr Raman Singh is retained as vice president also. 


West Bengal MP, Dilip Ghosh, is known for candid speak but at times was pulled up for speaking out of line. He also made 'inappropriate comments' involving the Kurmis in Jhargram.


In fact, analysts say, BJP lost panchayat seats in Purulia and Jhargram regions.
