Bear hugs and embraces ... mark unique transfer of power in an armed guerrilla camp !! Kitovi "gets back" Khehohi camp !!

Bear hugs and embraces ... mark unique transfer of power in an armed guerrilla camp, initial reports said on Saturday afternoon.

It's like writing a small piece of history.

The Khehohi camp of Naga militants is back with N. Kitovi Zhimomi.

The veteran militant leader Kitovi was ousted in April 2024 by means of an impeachment.

But before one year, Kitovi has able to get back his "camp, men and honour".

This is being seen as a great win for the pro-Solution and pro-Common draft lobbies while this bloodless development also marks a major set back to the Status quo club -- who are still thriving with the patronage of the rich and powerful.

"We welcome it ... more because it has happened bloodless and not a bullet was fired," says an analyst and expert on insurgency.

Mandarins in Delhi are exchanging notes.

One refrain is did Naga people within the state of Nagaland or outside gave any mandate to any organisation to amass wealth and protect their selfish  interests by delaying Solution.

Whose hidden hand probably worked for splitting the NSCN-Unification which was headed by N Kitovi Zhimomi.

Curiously all these happened in the midst of parliamentary elections in April 2024.

Indian election and a split in Naga militant organisation would not have been linked had there be no mega surprise.

Nagaland threw up a stunning mandate and Congress nominee Supongmeren Jamir had won. Worse, state's ruling NDPP could not ensure victory of their own candidate.

In soccer, often suicide goals are deliberate.

Come to 2025 - the Congress MP who votes against central Bills in Parliament is rewarded with a 'an official quarter' by the NDPP-BJP regime in Nagaland.

Eyebrows could be raised but not without good reasons !!

New Delhi apparatus were also happy that the March 20, 2025 meeting convened by the Naga Gaon Burrah Federation (NGBF) was well attended by respected organisations from both within the state of Nagaland and outside -- such as Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur.

So, it would not be wrong to presume that probably, the Mandate of March 20, 2025 was loud and clear.

Colonel Joseph Awomi in NSCN-U Khehohi camp said: "The fact of the matter is on March 22 (Saturday), there was no take over or anything such.

"We (uniformed personnel) have nothing to do with impeachment of one leader or another. We do not want to fight among ourselves and so Naga army have decided to work together despite disputes among civil authorities."

He also assured that there is no need to be worried about any tension or possibilities of violence. "We will continue to live in peace as we have been living in the camp".

However, mischief could be still going around. An unwarranted but unprecedented hurry shown by a political party 'appealing' for peace is making observers raise eyebrows.

The particular political party in Nagaland is famous for gross inefficiency. That shows mischief-makers may have links with the Status quo club.

But at the end of the day -- the spirit that prevailed on March 22 is --

"Common Call by armed Naga militants for a Common Draft".

That's the first step to early inking of the final peace pact.

New Delhi Analysts feel ... its a mega boost to the desired process for an early signing of the Naga Peace Pact.

@ -- Gain for Nagas and their prosperity

-- Setback for corridors of power and also setback for anti-Solution Status quo club.
