Noam Chomsky's concept of "Manufacturing Consent" explains how mass media in democratic societies functions not merely as an independent source of information but as a powerful tool that shapes public opinion to align with the interests of political and corporate elites.
Instead of acting as a neutral platform, the social media can filter "news and frame" narratives in ways that promote one particular agenda and corporate/business lobby agendas.
This means the methodology can "effectively guide or misguide citizens and youths" to consent to policies and ideas that might otherwise face resistance. It is now amply clear those who gathered at Jantar Mantar had less to do with NEET paper leak than 'hate Modi' machinations in their mind, soul and "social circles".
It is not only the scale of India's rise in last 12-13 years; the anti-national forces are worried about. It is the manner PM Narendra Modi has been doing. Delhi's Jugadu club is upset and this I have been underlining repeatedly.
Once denied US visa and barred from America, after May 2014, a triumphant Narendra Modi projected Hope and Optimism among Indians and also at the policy level. The corruption dropped and his Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas started moving with a focused approach.
Even addressing Indian Americans in the Manhattan and elsewhere; PM Namo worked the capacity crowd with visions of a stronger India.
He set goals for manufacturing sector and also promoted defence manufacturing. Decisive military strikes after Uri and later Op. Sindoor against Pakistan also upset many quarters. He handled even China from a position of strength despite Doklam and Galwan valley episodes.
Modi showed India can "restore" its position in the top tier of world powers after years of economic disappointment. But all these have upset big powers.
Even lately after 2024 Bangladesh chaos; India remained firm and ensured protection to Sheikh Hasina. Modi's role would be written in golden letters if Awami League ever make a comeback in Dhaka. The fact that former Bangladesh PM has said she will go there in December has yet again irked many.
The US plans for St Martn islands may not materialise soon. Pakistan, China and a large section of Indian Muslims and even Christians (after FCRA) too have grievances against Modi. So, what all has happened was expected. In fact, there would be more. We have stated earlier that 'manufacturing consent' was applied and big tech and money influence actually could sustain the Jantar Mantar protest.
The CJP heroes are actually puppets. Geo Strategy matters a lot. 'Hate Modi' also matters.
Team Modi applied restrains in dealing with June 20-23 protest and chaos. Otherwise, it appeared some people wanted a Tiananmen square out of Jantar Mantar. Spins are out. Spin masters are at work.
An impression has been made out that the so-called "secular and rainbow coalition" were at work. The fact of the matter is - it was the Rainbow coalition of Modi-haters and anti-India forces. NEET was just an excuse. The manner food supply was ensured and the way social media followers leaped for those raise many questions.
Even the algorithm theories vis-a-vis social media - as we knew so far - was working on different dimension. Even those who do not view political stuff - got those anti-Modi videos. The sloganeering, posters and the words and phrases used showed how the suppressed dislike for someone who has been winning election has come out.
Among the ecosystem were a large number of those who were always Kejri-fans. One 'swami narayan' from Noida 16 Sector who used to jump at every tweets of Arvind Kejriwal too got back his form.
They may say 'Modi's aura has crumbled'. But the fact is the 'mask' of this gang has fallen. They stand exposed. They are the real cockroaches who are against India's rise.
"23 Malyalee workers employed in Abrico Fright Company Dubai were sponsored by its owner Shaji Nilambur to join the student protests in Jantar Mantar. Flight tickets, food, accommodation... all expenses taken care of by the 'sponsor'.
They were told to continue till the protests lasts. What do migrant workers in Dubai have to do with students protesting for NEET in India? Why this sponsored participation?," tweeted BJP leader from Kerala Col. S Dinny (retired).
It is said, Modi has given to pressure -- twice. In 2026 and in 2022 during farmers' stir.
In 2021-22 protest; farmers and middlemen especially from the western belt of UP had joined the Sikhs in Punjab in protesting the farm laws. The Sikh protest even left impact overseas. PM Modi could read it well that things may derail.
Naga BJP leader and party's national vice president, M Chuba Ao, says: "He (PM Modi) was cautious that the old Hindu-Sikh division should not revive again.
This time too in Delhi protest; there were foreign hands and sources of money providing free food for days to the protesters must be investigated. Even foreigners were found on the spot. Pakistan’s involvement is not ruled out."
However, one argument may go that -- PM Modi is attempting to prevail with arguments that he has tried before. His government passed in 2020 three “farm bills” that aimed to shift Indian agriculture away from a state-led administered-price system toward a more market-based model. They were repealed in 2021 after year-long protests. Farmers were furious.
Modi is strict and has guts. But he has the political flexibility too. This 'flexibility' s being interpreted in different circles.
'One Step Forward, Two Steps Back: The Crisis in Our Party' written by Vladimir Lenin was published in 1904. In broad sense, it means the sum-total of principles that results from adding up all that pertains to the realm of principle and subtracting all that pertains to the realm of squabbling.
Namo often follows this communist ideology finetuning.
