Police suspect bigger conspiracy, 'absconding suspect' Lalit Jha fled with mobiles of others, likely to destroy evidence: Govt goes assertive, 15 Opposition MPs suspended

'Stories' being narrated by five 'accused' in Parliament security breach could seek to relate them to Bhagat Singh and even global revolutionaries and also issues like unemployment and Manipur situation; but cops are not entirely convinced.

The six accused Lalit Jha, who is on the run ever since Dec 13 infamous incident in Parliament, 'have absconded with all the mobile phones to destroy evidence'. Thus, the real motive ought to be scrutinized.

Meanwhile, 15 opposition lawmakers were suspended on Thursday after they protested against the unprecedented security breach.

In the Rajya Sabha, Trinamool Congress floor leader Derek O'Brien was suspended for "ignoble conduct" after he shouted slogans demanding a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah.

In the Lower House, 14 MPs from opposition parties such as the Congress and the DMK were suspended until last day of the ongoing Winter Session, December 22nd.

Before the House was adjourned, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that the incident had been condemned by "everyone". "We all - ruling and opposition MPs - have to be careful about to whom we issue the passes (to enter parliament)," he said.

Opposition leaders have demanded action against BJP MP Pratap Simha, who reportedly signed the passes used by the intruders to enter the public gallery in Lok Sabha.

Senior opposition MP, Kapil Sibal, said the government should suspend everybody if it didn't want the Opposition.

There is ban on 'visitor passes' till a complete security review was completed. The Union Home Ministry has asked DG, CRPF, Anish Singh to conduct the probe.

The six accused had been in contact for four years and meticulously planned the breach a few days prior to the incident, it was revealed during questioning. They coordinated through social media and conducted reconnaissance of the Parliament building in the days preceding the incursion, sources said.

They allegedly even tried to sabotage/disturb Parliament proceedings during Special Session of Parliament and even Monsoon session.

DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, who is among the suspended MPs, accused the government of sparing Pratap Simha but expelling Mahua Moitra "without even the inquiry being complete".
