Memories through my blog : 2023 ----- March 30, 2023 -- In a candid speech Vice Prez Dhankhar flayed powerful people of trying to run down own country

Jan 27, 2023 ::: "PM Narendra Modi asked students not to be enslaved by gadgets, as these devices are not smarter than a human brain/children/students themselves.

He urged them to not be distracted by technology and allot separate time to use mobile phone or other gadgets for interaction on social media platforms.

He asked parents/students to create a ‘no gadgets zone’ in the house where they will not use any kind of technological device and just use the time for conversations, which he termed ‘digital fasting’.

S C Jamir, who has worked with all Indian Prime Ministers since Jawaharlal Nehru said, "During our initial days in politics and in parliament; we used to think probably two or three political forces will dominate Indian political scene.
That would have helped India. I think many problems India faces today even after 75 years of its existence like caste-based politics would not have got encouragement".

In a  candid speech but rare of its kind, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has flayed powerful people of trying to run down own country and said there is a ecosystem that is working to combat India's emergence as Global power.

"An ecosystem is being shaped to combat India's emergence as Global power. It is the favourite theme of some outside institutions to attack India's legitimacy as a nation state and it's Constitution, ignoring ground reality," the Vice President said in his speech at the News18 Rising India meet.

Rahul Gandhi's defence --- "a strong and uncompromising opposition" is essential requirement for healthy democracy  "....it is incumbent upon courts to focus on the essence and spirit of the speech (related to Modi surname) made rather than on the tone and tenor," he said in his plea challenging the verdict against him.

"In recent years, the Modi government has devoted itself to presenting an image of a rising India that engages in decolonization and emphasizes independent confidence. India has also undertaken large-scale actions to remove symbols of colonialism, including renaming and remodeling iconic buildings,

Social activist Theja Therieh on Saturday flayed the BJP central leadership for dragging high-voltage Uniform Civil Code into Indian polity at such a sensitive time and urged authorities to allow people "have their personal liberty and space" for overall national growth and prosperity.

"The law recognizes that personal beliefs and choices can differ among individuals and communities .... so why can't the Government of the day allow people to have their choices of personal liberty and space for wholesome growth of the nation," Theja told this journalist here.

A case of ping pong !!

Namo also knows how to manage headlines and how to make news starving semi-intellectual TV (idiot box// wallahas) run guessing games.

When TV experts and other jokers of circus started speaking about 'One Nation -One Election' and so on; the fact of the matter is none still knows what PM Narendra Modi has planned.

Sometime back, when Mallikarjun Kharge was 'not defeated' in polls and was still a member of Lok Sabha; Modi had told him in the House: "You still have to do a lot of research on me". At least with know all syndrome of dynasts and there Darbaris, the Congress party is simply clueless about Modi and his plans.

Modi uses ‘Bharat’ for G20 nameplate, not India, amid name-change row

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s placard at the opening of the G20 summit on Saturday referred to India as “Bharat”, raising speculation of a change of name for the South Asian nation.

While the country has traditionally stuck to using India in titles such as president or prime minister while communicating in English, President Droupadi Murmu earlier this week referred to herself as the “President of Bharat” in a dinner invitation for a reception of G20 leaders, sparking controversy.

For many, the immediacy of Modi’s comments and the UN resolution vote symbolises just how significantly the India-Israel relationship has shifted since he came to power in 2014, notably demonstrated by the public bonhomie between the two countries’ prime ministers.

Nicolas Blarel, associate professor of international relations at Leiden University and author of The Evolution of India’s Israel Policy, said: “Modi’s position has been openly supportive of Israel but this is the first time that you had an immediate pro-Israel reaction without a balancing statement that immediately follows it up.”

Israel appeared to take Modi’s statement as unequivocal backing. Speaking to reporters in Delhi last week, Israel’s ambassador, Naor Gilon, thanked the country for “100% support”.

"A provision for Trial in Absentia has been introduced...

Many cases in the country shook us be it the Mumbai bomb blast or any other. Those people are hiding in other countries and trials are not underway. They don't need to come here now. If they don't appear before the Court within 90 days then in their absence trial will go on...

"A public prosecutor will be appointed for their prosecution. They will be hanged...It will make the process to bring them back speedy since it changes their status in the other country when they get prosecuted." -
