The confrontation between Modi Govt and I.N.D.I alliance gets more bitter and aggressive.
Leader of Opposition in West Bengal assembly, Suvendu Adhikari says, “Lalit Jha is a functionary of TMC’s youth wing. There’s not one but many pictures of Lalit Jha with TMC leaders that are doing rounds on the internet. He is very close to TMC MLA Tapas Rai.
Lalit Jha was in touch with many prominent leaders of TMC. Investigation into TMC and Mamata Banerjee’s role in Parliament security breach should be carried out.”
"Isn’t it obvious that a desperate I.N.D.I Alliance, just to undermine the incumbent Govt, has staged an attack on the Indian Parliament?
The institution that is voice of 140 crore Indians… Shame," tweeted BJP's IT cell chief, Amit Malviya.
The missive comes in reference to 'security breach handler' Lalit Jha's Kolkata connection.... and Malviya writes;
"TMC connection of Lalit Jha, wanted in the Parliament security breach, now emerges. Several pictures of his with TMC leaders have gone viral. So far, people involved in the entire episode have been found to have links with the Congress, CPI(Maoist) and now the TMC. Isn’t it obvious?"
Jha's snap with Trinamool MLA Tapas Roy has gone viral !!
Ms Neelam, arrested for protesting outside Parliament, allegedly has Congress connections.
TMC Youth Congress general secretary, Saumya Bakshi, confirmed that while it was him in the photo, he did not know about Lalit Jha, adding that it wasn't possible to know everyone who took a selfie with him.
Speaking on the matter, BJP West Bengal unit chief Sukanta Majumdar said:
"The manner in which incidents are taking place in Bengal, we are suspicious because the chief minister had come up with a national anthem-like song while considering Bengal a separate nation...We are scared that she will start opposing India while opposing BJP and PM Modi...
"There are several photos of TMC and Congress leaders with the mastermind...It seems he has good coordination with INDI Alliance. So there should be an inquiry if there is a large conspiracy…," Majumdar said.
(The Lok Sabha secretariat has suspended eight security personnel for lapses.
The suspensions were ordered based on preliminary findings that Sagar and Manoranjan managed to hide gas canisters inside their shoes, which means frisking was not properly done.)
Lalit Jha, the alleged mastermind in Parliament security breach case surrendered before the Delhi Police on Thursday, Dec 14, night.
Jha hailed from busy traders' hub Burrabazar locality in Kolkata, as per his neighbours, Jha used to teach local children.
Jha, as per sources, lived on rent in a house in Kolkata. He reportedly lived on rent at 218 Rabindra Sarani in the Burrabazar area of the city.
He was in that area for a few years. Officials from Burrabazar Police Station and Intelligence Department of Kolkata Police went to Jha's rented accommodation and spoke to the property owner.
Lalit Jha, accompanied by another man, reached the Kartavya Path Police station and surrendered. He has been handed over to the Special Cell.
Four individuals, including a woman, were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the security breach in Parliament. They have been charged under the anti-terror law UAPA, in addition to sections of the Indian Penal Code. Lalit Jha was absconding since Dec 13.
During interrogation, the accused had revealed that they wanted to enact revolutionary Bhagat Singh's action of throwing bombs inside the Central Assembly during British rule in India.
The group made elaborate plans to carry out the act – holding meetings and conducting reccee while remaining discreet. They hailed from different towns and cities and connected well.
They could have met through Facebook group ‘Bhagat Singh Fan Club’ and later shifted their conversations to a secure messaging app, Signal.
According to police officers, the accused held a meeting about one and a half years ago in Mysuru, the home town of Manoranjan D.
A second meeting was reportedly organised again in the city in May or June this year. Sagar’s Instagram posts showing him in front of the famous Mysore Palace and published in mid-June corroborate this claim. An e-rickshaw driver by profession, Sagar, in July, also travelled to Maharashtra, the home state of Amol Shinde.
As new details continue to emerge, the all-important question that remains unanswered is: why did they orchestrate this act and what was their motive? Not much is clear from their appearances and utterances during the incident, and their social media posts. What is apparent, though, is that they wanted to be found and their voices heard across the nation.
After their arrest, Neelam accused the government of authoritative approach. “Tanashahi nahi chalegi!” she was heard chanting during her detention out the parliament building.
Before going incommunicado, Lalit posted a video on Instagram of the police arresting Amol and Neelam outside Parliament. He also sent it to his NGO partner Nilaksha Aich, who told India Today that he, despite closely working with him, did not tell him about his plans in Delhi. Lalit told him to plan an event of the NGO after December 12, Nilaksha said. “Ensure it gets proper media coverage. And keep this video safe. Jai Hind!” Lalit wrote to Nilaksha. -- reports 'India Today'.
