"Aspirational districts" -- more than just a phrase and it made all the difference for Modi and BJP !!

Strike rate of Modi in three central/western Indian -- Hindi/Hindu states --

* PM Modi covered 250 assembly seats across 42 districts in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh

** Strike rate -- 67 per cent

** 76 new seats were added where Namo addressed rallies

*** Madhya Pradesh : 17 rallies by PM covering 93 seats and the BJP won 70 of them (strike rate - 75 percent)

$$ Rajasthan - 17 rallies by Modi covering 119 seats and out of these 74 seats came into saffron party's kitty (also avge strike rate 62 percent)

$$  Chattisgarh - 7 rallies by PM across 38 seats and 25 of them were won by the BJP (making it 65 percent)

The Opposition parties or the Congress lost yet another round of electoral battles. But did they offer any alternative economic policy in the last six months ? This is one aspect the I.N.D.I alliance needs to look into! They tried to hype Manipur -- well it was and continues to be a mega issue; but they hyped about other unnecessary elements too -- like the caste census and so-called 'soft Hindutva'. The last card being to fool Hindus !!

That's Sickularism, and that's a major problem !!

On the other hand, the BJP banked heavily on the developmental works in certain districts and regions -- called aspirational districts. The data will make a better sense !!  There were 65 aspirational districts in four states of MP, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Telangana.

Out of these, over 40 districts voted in favour of saffron party nominees, that is the faceless voters have endorsed in favour of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his model of Governance.

It's also not a case to suggest that voters do not punish the BJP. In 2018, the Lotus party lost Chhattisgarh and out of 12 seats in Naxal hit region, what came in their kitty was only one. But today in 2023, it's role reversal as the PM Modi and government made a special outreach.  Now the break up, Aspirational districts in  Madhya Pradesh 35, the saffron party won 30.

In Rajasthan, out of 17, as many as 10 came into the saffron party's kitty. In Chhattisgarh, the BJP managed 11 out of 21. Here in a small comparison but vital one, out of 65 aspirational districts in these four states - in 2018, the Congress party had won 52 of them and this year the tally came down to 24.

Prime Minister Modi in his address to party MPs on Thursday morning rightly pointed out that the successful and result oriented ability of the political class to reach out to the people and especially the beneficiaries ultimately can leave a magical impact.

He also said that due to the party's pro-governance stance, the BJP negated anti-incumbency. He said the party gets elected for the second consecutive time 57 percent, the Congress 20 percent. For the regional parties, this percentage is 49 percent, he said.

PM also said Congress generally lost 33 times out of 40 times it sought 're-election'; but the BJP lost only 17 out of 39 times -- this proves as high as 57 percent of incumbent BJP governments get repeated.  For Congress it won 7 times for a repeat regime and this stood at 18 percent to get re-elected !!

He also urged the MPs to participate in the upcoming Viksit Bharat Yatra, which seeks to take the message of government schemes and programmes to the masses.

Interestingly, in Telangana out of 8 aspirational districts while BJP and the CPI shared one each; the BRS - which was voted out won 2 and Congress could win 4 and also come to power.

KCR, 'dethroned' CM of Telangana

PM's formula:  -- Karyakarta Plus Labhhartis (Beneficiaries) ..... plus Team work

Now here is a catch how and why possibly things worked in favour of the BJP ??

** BJP/Modi Govt did not win the polls -- just by promising.

**  They did not identify some districts and then provide extra money -- which ultimately helped boost corruption and the nexus between Netas, Babus and Contractors.

** So, what did BJP do ? -- PM and PMO ensured 'deployment' of performing officers in these districts and regions -- they are mostly in rural and far-flung areas and these have poor, Dalit and tribal populations.

** PMO ensured effective monitoring ! Some districts have the history of being 'neglected' for last six decades !!

Now here is another cool statistics --

* BJP has been winning Gujarat for seven consecutive terms

# Madhya Pradesh - the BJP is in power since 2003 barring 15 months (Dec 2018 and March 2020)

#Chattisgarh - BJP won two consecutive polls and lost in 2018; and has again 'won' the Naxal-infested and tribal-stronghold state

"I am a small karyakarta of the party and people think that I am part of their family. Don’t add adjectives like Shri or adaraniya as people think of me as one of them and as Modi." the Prime Minister told the BJP MPs.

Modi attributed the party's victory in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh to "team spirit". He is learnt to have urged the MPs to surge forward with a collective spirit.
