Mega NDA win in Bihar predicted by Exit Polls ::::: A key Muslim Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad quits party :::: In 2015; the Exit Polls findings were just washed out on the vote count day

Whatever the results on Nov 14th, the Bihar elections and the outcome will mark the end of an era for the state.

It is widely expected to be the last for Nitish Kumar, the JD(U) supremo, who has been the Chief Minister for over 20 years since Nov 2005.

Senior Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad resigns from the party's primary membership.

Shakeel Ahmed was a former Minister of State for Home Affairs in the UPA government. He has sent his resignation to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge.

The 'Dainik Bhaskar' exit poll projects the JD(U)-BJP led NDA to win between 145 and 160 seats, while Matrize forecasts 147 to 167 seats.

The magic number in the 243-seat Bihar Assembly is 122.

Prashant Kishor, has failed to impress pollsters, with Matrize projecting the JSP’s tally between 0 and 2 seats, while Dainik Bhaskar puts it at 0 to 3.

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance is predicted to storm back to power in Bihar, according to four exit polls.

However, while exit polls offer a tantalising preview of voter sentiment, past elections have shown that the pollsters often get it wrong especially in Bihar.

In 2015; the Exit Polls findings were just washed out on the vote count day.

Thus, these numbers must be taken with a pinch of salt.
