"Why are we caring about India turnout?," Trump questions Biden administration move .... "There's a kickback because nobody has any idea what's going on"

US President Donald Trump upped the ante against the Biden regime and dubbed $21 million money being pumped into India for ‘voter turnout’  as a ‘kickback scheme’.
He, however, refrained from elaborating on who benefited from it.

Earlier he had suggested that the money was pumped through USAID -- something he has cancelled - to"elect someone else" in India instead of  Narendra Modi.

The episode has given a very strong ammunition to the BJP to target the arch rival Congress and other opposition parties.

BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya also shared Trump’s video address, where the latter could be reiterating his charge on allocation of $21 million for ‘voter turnout in India’ and $29 million for upholding the political landscape in Bangladesh.

“A day after US President Donald Trump spoke about $21 million being sent to India for voter turnout, he has reiterated the charge. And no, he is not confusing it with the $29 million funneled into Bangladesh.

This time, he has also mentioned kickbacks. Essentially, this money is also used to sustain deep-state assets who work to defend and deflect such revelations. We are now witnessing the same pattern unfold in India,” Amit Malviya said.

A section of Sickularism gang in India had tried to give a spin that the money 'given' was for Bangladesh.

"$ 21 million for voter turnout in India. Why are we caring about India turnout? We have got enough problems. We want our own turnout, don't we? Can you imagine all that money going to India? Trump said, addressing the Republican Governors Association (RGA) meeting.

“You know, it's not like they get it and they spend it, they kick it back to the people.

I would say in many of these cases, anytime you have no idea what we're talking about, that means there's a kickback because nobody has any idea what's going on there.”

Speaking on USAID fund allocation for Bangladesh, Trump stated, “$ 29 million to strengthen the political landscape in Bangladesh.

Nobody knows what they mean by political landscape. What does that mean?"

The Central Govt on Friday (Feb 21) raised serious concerns over recent remarks by Trump, who alleged that the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) allocated a USD 21 million fund to India with the intent of "influencing its electoral process".

Addressing a weekly media briefing, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said:

"We have seen information that has been put out by the US administration regarding certain USA activities and funding. These are obviously very deeply troubling. This has led to concerns about foreign interference in India's internal affairs".

He further added that the government is actively looking into the matter, but refrained from making a detailed public statement at this stage.

"Relevant departments and agencies are looking into this matter. It would be premature to make a public comment at this stage, so relevant authorities are looking into it, and hopefully we can come up with an update on that subsequently," he added.

During his speech in Miami earlier this week, Trump announced the cancellation of the USAID grant to India and claimed that the previous Joe Biden-led administration was attempting to interfere in India's 2024 Lok Sabha elections to "elect someone else".

Of course, the Congress has asked the central government to release a white paper detailing USAID funding and financial contributions from similar agencies operating in India.
