In a crucial development but could be still called a courtesy call, former Nagaland Chief Minister and ex Governor Gujarat, Odisha, Maharastra and Goa S C Jamir held a meeting with Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi at Chennai on Feb 12.
"Happy to Welcome Dr S C Jamir, the former Chief Minister Nagaland and former Governor Maharashtra, Goa and Odisha who is the living legend and architect of the Nagaland state.

He is the sole surviving member of the Naga Peoples Convention which, against all odds in 1950s, mobilised the entire Naga society against the externally inspired self destructive violence and created Nagaland, the 16th state of the Indian union, for a bright future of the Naga people according to their genius," Ravi said in a message on X.
Ravi was a former Nagaland Governor and 'interlocutor' on Naga talks when two crucial documents the Framework Agreement (2015) and the Agreed Position were inked in 2017.
"The Nation and the Naga people shall ever be proud of this great visionary leader. The Naga people shall also be ever grateful to Prime Minister Thiru @narendramodi for decorating him with the prestigious national award Padma Bhushan in 2020.
At 94 this grand old man with his enviable physical and intellectual energy and steadfast commitment to the Nation First spirit is an inspiration for all specially the youth of the nation," he wrote.
"May he continue serving the nation and guiding the youth for many more years to come," Governor Ravi added.
