'India Today' spoke to Ahsan Mewati. He claimed he is from Pakistan’s 'Mewat region' and has so far never visited India. Of course, he said his ancestors had India connection in Rajasthan and he would to visit India.
"There is no place called Mewat in Pakistan," says the 'India Today' report, adding - "Some areas of the undivided Mewat went to Pakistan during the Partition and people living there still identify themselves as Mewati".
When asked about his Rajasthan connection, he said his ancestors had migrated from Alwar, Rajasthan, to Pakistan. It was also found from his Facebook profile that his brother is in the Pakistan Police. Ahsan confirmed this.
Ahsan Mewati told 'India Today' that he lives in Chamb Mor, a village in Bahawalpur, Pakistan. While a phone number was listed on his YouTube channel and Facebook Page, calls to that number were not responded to.
"The slogans of Allahu Akhbar were amazing. They just touched the soul. Monu Manesar deserves to be killed," he said further celebrating the attack saying, "Majo aa gayo, majo aa gayo (I enjoyed it)."
"In several of his YouTube videos, we observed Urdu boards with Pakistani phone numbers written on them. Ahsan claimed in these videos that they were shot in his village. Through those numbers, we spoke to some locals and were able to finally contact Ahsan." -- 'India Today' report
Another webste 'OpIndia' says, "Amid the Nuh violence in Haryana which erupted after the Islamists attacked the Jalabhishek procession organized by Hindus, a YouTube video has come to the fore in which the host who identifies himself as Ahsan Mewati Pakistani is seen inciting the Mewati Muslims to create violence and kill Bajrang Dal’s Monu Manesar.
The video was posted a day before the violence in which Ahsan stated that the Hindus should not be spared at all. “This Monu Manesar is coming to Mewat. He should be killed. Why are Mewatis so scared? These Hindus should be beaten and taught a lesson,” Ahsan could be heard saying."
'India Today' further states:
"Ahsan told us that he is a YouTuber and a farmer. His social media profiles show that he is a moderately popular YouTuber. As of August 3, he had over 80,000 subscribers on YouTube and over one lakh followers on Facebook.
Most of his content is related to 'Mewat'. He made many videos about village life and 'Mewati culture'."
However, in the last few months, he began uploading communally sensitive videos, related to Mewat in India (officially called Nuh district). Before that, he has been uploading vulgar content to grab eyeballs.
Ahsan said that his ancestors were from the undivided Mewat. He told us that he belonged to the Meo community and was emotionally connected to Mewat. So, when violence broke out in Nuh, he possibly latched onto the opportunity to gain more followers and began making videos on the topic."
