A galaxy of BJP leaders have applauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech in Lok Sabha on Aug 10 on the No Confidence Motion against his government.

Union Minister and BJP lawmaker from Arunacha Pradesh, Kiren Rijiju says, "Opposition parties didn't let the Parliament function, under the pretext of Manipur over the past few days. Yesterday, when the PM spoke on Manipur and the entire northeast, the entire Opposition had walked out.

"All the NDA MPs from the northeast have condemned this and we are also going to write a letter to the PM that he spoke on Manipur and the northeast in detail yesterday..."

Tejasvi Surya, BJP Yuva Morcha chief and Bengaluru South MP, in a tweet referred to PM Modi's speech and wrote: "DMK joins Congress in a walkout during PM's address. But it has no shame in requesting Sri @narendramodi Ji to bring back Kachchatheevu Island, off Rameshwaram coast, into India."

"It was under Congress rule that the Island was gifted to another country," he tweeted.

"PM @narendramodi’s response to the Motion of No Confidence reflected his unflinching dedication to India’s progress. He spoke of how differently the world sees India today. This is due to the transformation that he has personally envisioned and implemented," Dr Jaishankar tweeted.

"Thank the  Prime Minister for such an uplifting speech which has motivated the entire nation," he said.

"Opposition have not done the right thing... by avoiding voting on No Confidence Motion", says Ghulam Nabi Azad

Democratic Progressive Azad (DPA) party chief Ghulam Nabi Azad says, "Opposition parties came together for a no-confidence motion, but when it was time to vote, they walked out.

Everyone knows that BJP has the majority but if they have to run then what is the point of calling a no-confidence motion. They have not done the right thing."

"What a pathetic display of contempt of Parliament,": Mahesh Jethmalani

"What a pathetic display of contempt of Parliament, the nation and the people of India by an unholy alliance of largely dynastic parties steeped in loot of their respective exchequers," tweeted BJP MP and senior counsel Mahesh Jethmalani.

"What was on display in the debate on their doomed #NoConfidenceMotion yesterday was their arrogance and bile, their stupidity and cowardice. Bested decisively in debate they fled the field of battle with their tails between their legs midway through #PMModi’s reply."

"The only motion that stood out was the loose ones of the Opposition as they scurried out of Parliaments portals which they had only just defiled".

Union Minister Anurag Thakur says, "When Congress saw its black history in the northeast, it ran away. It ran away when it saw PM Modi's resolve and love for the northeast, for Manipur...This shows that the 'Ghamandia' alliance could not listen to the truth of their allegations and it ran away."

"Their arrogance is such that they did not Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury speak. We allowed him to speak...Unhone gud ka gobar kiya."
