AAP Nagaland gets going , new office bearers announced, Leaders blast BJP for Delhi Services Bill

Amid high profile politics in Delhi over the Services Bill, the party led by Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP, has set its eyes on the north east.

Of course, the party has caught the imagination of the people across India and Nagaland cradled in the wilds of northeast is also no exception.

The Kejriwal-led party in power in Dehi and Punjab may now play a key role in Lok Sabha polls due next year.

AAP is also a key constituent of newly christened I.N.D.I.A alliance. Nagaland has one Lok Sabha seat, and there have been demands for the AAP to expand its base in the state.

The Aam Aadmi party, Nagaland  had a formal induction program for its state officials at Dimapur on Aug 2, Tuesday.

The program was graced by the AAP northeast in charge Rajesh Sharma while the program was chaired by AAP state president Asu Keyho, a former student leader and ex-MLA.

Speaking on the occasion, AAP northeast in-charge Rajesh Sharma charged BJP with trying to murder "Democracy in India".

He said the Supreme Court decision was "in favour of elected Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi", but the BJP's  "anti-constitutional face stand exposed".

The 'black ordinance' was brought about by the BJP government on Delhi services by overturning the Supreme Court decision, Sharma accused.

He said these are all more reasons for people in the North east India to support the AAP.

"Entire northeast is lacking in development. It needs good schools, healthcare facilities, better roads, free electricity, free clean drinking water, solution for unemployment and other long standing issues. Only AAP can bring solution for all issues," he said adding, it is the AAP under the leadership of Kejriwal that has brought changes in Delhi as well as in Punjab.

Among the new team of office bears include party vice president (Nagaland), R. Takuyangba. He is a retired Chief Engineer from the Nagaland department of PWD.

The general secretary for state unit Dr Salikyu Sangtam is an academician and had done his Masters in International Relations from the US, party sources said.
