Rahul Gandhi is George Soros, two bodies but one soul: BJP's jab over Adani case
"I am not scared to say this word. I don't have any hesitation to call the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha a traitor," the BJP leader said.
The BJP on Thursday sharpened its attack on the Congress over the bribery charge against Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani and alleged that the party was carrying forward the agenda of US billionaire George Soros to destabilise India.
Addressing a press conference, BJP MP Sambit Patra claimed that there was a "dangerous triangular nexus", which was trying to destabilise India and named George Soros, OCCRP, a global media investigative agency funded by Soros's Open Society Foundation, and Rahul Gandhi.
"A triangular nexus has emerged, comprising George Soros and his foundation in the US, along with certain American agencies.
The other vertex of this triangle is a prominent news portal, OCCRP. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi, traitor of the highest order, represents the third angle of this triangle." he said
"If OCCRP is affected, Rahul Gandhi cries. If Rahul Gandhi cries, OCCRP gets hurt. They are two bodies but with one soul. George Soros and Rahul Gandhi are one. Whatever Soros wants to fulfill his agenda, Rahul Gandhi does the same. Both want to harm the country's interests," he said.
The BJP has linked Soros to Congress on several occasions as the US billionaire has been a vocal critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The scheme was launched by the Prime Minister with the aim of achieving 1 crore rooftop solar installations in the residential sector by Fiscal Year 2027 with an allocated budget of Rs 75,021 crore.
The National Portal reported a total of 1.45 crore registrations, 26.38 lakh applications, and 6.34 lakh rooftop solar installations, Union Minister of State (MoS) for New and Renewable Energy and Power, Shripad Naik, said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.
The subsidy has been issued to 3.66 lakh applicants and it is regularly released within 15 to 21 days, according to the MoS.
Gujarat has witnessed the maximum number of solar installations under the initiative at 2,86,545. Maharashtra stands next with 1,26,344 installations, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 53,423 installations.
The ministry is partnering with all stakeholders including REC, DISCOMs, and vendors, among others, with an aim to resolve any challenge on the way to a successful implementation of the scheme, MoS Naik said.
PM Modi had launched the rooftop solar scheme for providing free electricity to consumers. This project, with an investment of over Rs 75,000 crore, aims to light up 1 crore households by providing up to 300 units of free electricity every month.
From substantive subsidies, given directly to people’s bank accounts, to heavily concessional bank loans, the Central Government aims to ensure that there is no cost burden on the people.
In order to popularise this scheme at the grassroots, Urban Local Bodies and Panchayats have been incentivised to promote rooftop solar systems in their jurisdictions.
At the same time, the scheme is leading to more income, lesser power bills and employment generation for people.
Mamata-ruled West Bengal's school job scam ::: ED gets clues on fund diversion by Partha Chatterjee
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials have got specific evidence about the diversion of ill-gotten proceeds in the cash-for-school job case in West Bengal through a trust named after the deceased wife of the former Education Minister Partha Chatterjee.
The ED has named the said trust, Babli Chatterjee Memorial Trust, in the fifth supplementary charge sheet filed by the central agency at a special court in Kolkata earlier this week, sources said.
In the fresh chargesheet, the ED has also named Partha Chatterjee’s son-in-law Kalyanmoy Bhattacharya, who according to the central agency officials used to operate the financial matters of the trust at the ground -level.
Bhattacharya, who is currently settled abroad, came to Kolkata earlier this year, met the Income Tax officials and informed their departmental officials about the property purchased by the former education minister in Bhattacharya’s name using the latter’s identity proofs like PAN cards.
Then the Income Tax also secured definite evidence that besides Bhattacharya, the former state education minister also purchased huge property in the name of his daughter Sohini Bhattacharya (Chatterjee), who is also settled abroad along with her husband, says reports in a section of media.
