Bansuri Swaraj seeks action against Rahul Gandhi :::: Congress leader and LoP writes to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla: PM at NDA meet: Don't behave like Rahul Gandhi

BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj from New Delhi moved a notice under Direction 115 in Lok Sabha over LoP Rahul Gandhi's speech.

She said, "LoP Rahul Gandhi made several inaccurate statements in his speech yesterday..."

The notice states, "The above mentioned statements made by LoP in the Lok Sabha are factually incorrect and misleading in nature and hence appropriate proceedings ought to be initiated as provided under Rule 115.  I therefore pray that you kindly take cognizance of the deliberate inaccuracies made by Rahul Gandhi and take necessary action."

Corruption started in this country in 1959 with Jeep scandal during the time of Jawaharlal Nehru: Dilip Saika, BJP MP, Darang-Udalgiri, Assam

Rahul Gandhi writes to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla:

The letter reads, "...Shocked to note the manner in which considerable portion of my speech have been simply taken off from the proceedings under the garb of expunction...

Taking off from records my considered remarks goes against the very tenets of parliamentary democracy..."

PM Modi at NDA parliamentary meet: Don't behave like Rahul Gandhi

During the meeting, the Prime Minister advised all NDA MPs to not behave the way Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did in the Lok Sabha.

The Prime Minister, referring to the Opposition, also said some have become restless as no prime minister, after Jawaharlal Nehru, has been able to win three consecutive terms, a milestone achieved by a 'tea-seller'.

"Every NDA MP has to work by prioritising the country. The PM also guided us well regarding the conduct of MPs and said that every MP should present the matters of their constituency in the House very well as per the rules. He also told us to develop expertise in other major issues of interest," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said.

"Awaam ne tod diya hukumat ka guroor...darbar to laga hai...ghamgeen, benoor hai par... it feels that for the first time there is a defeated government. The people are saying that this government won't run.

It was a moral victory for the INDIA alliance in the (Lok Sabha) elections. It was a victory of positive politics," says Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav in Lok Sabha.

"...EVM pe mujhe kal bhi bharosa nahi tha, aaj bhi nahi hai bharosa, mein 80/80 seats jeet jaun tab bhi nahi bharosa...The issue of EVM has not died"

Rahul Gandhi even said Speaker Om Birla shook hands with PM Narendra Modi by bowing down. He is not only sounding silly, it is also undignified.

There was a sense of entitlement: "You did not bow before me" .... type .... complaint

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said: "PM Modi said in NDA meeting that the manner in which LoP Rahul Gandhi behaved yesterday, turned his back towards the Speaker, spoke out of rules and insulted the Speaker is something that people of our party, the NDA should not do...".

The statements by Rahul Gandhi that got expunged from the Parliament proceedings were his accusations on the BJP, stating that the party is treating minorities unfairly, his remarks on industrialists Adani and Ambani, his accusations that the NEET exam is for rich people and there is no place in it for meritorious students, and that the Agniveer Scheme is not of the Indian Army, but of the PMO (Prime Minister's Office).

Somewhere Rahul is continuing with his trademark immaturity like shaking hands with an MP while participating in the debate. Leader of the Opposition is quite a responsible post, he may yet to understand these.

In fact during the debate, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said Rahul's remarks on Agniveer should be expunged. Amit Shah said he should tender an apology.  Holding up pictures of Lord Shiva, Guru Nanak, and Jesus Christ, he referred to Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Christianity, Buddhism and Jainism to underline the importance of fearlessness. He also cited the attributes of Lord Shiva and the teachings of Guru Nanak, Jesus Christ, Buddha, and Mahavir to state that all religions and great people say, "daro mat, darao mat" (do not be scared, do not scare others)".

As Rahul Gandhi's remarks triggered an uproar from the treasury benches, it further led to the Chair striking it off record.

The statements by Gandhi that got expunged from the Parliament proceedings were his accusations on the BJP, stating that the party is treating minorities unfairly, his remarks on industrialists Adani and Ambani, his accusations that the NEET exam is for rich people and there is no place in it for meritorious students, and that the Agniveer Scheme is not of the Indian Army, but of the PMO (Prime Minister's Office).

Besides PM Modi, who intervened twice, at least five cabinet ministers interjected during Gandhi's speech, which lasted for about an hour and 40 minutes, with Home Minister Amit Shah demanding an apology from him.

"It is not just one religion that talks about courage. In fact, all our religions talk about courage," Gandhi said in his debut speech as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, as Sonia Gandhi and sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra watched from the visitors' gallery.

As the treasury bench members stood up in protest, Gandhi slammed the BJP, saying, "Aap Hindu ho hi nahi" (You are not Hindus). It is clearly written in Hinduism that one should stand with the truth and not back down from the truth or be scared of it," he said.

Modi, intervening in his speech, said, "This issue is very serious. Calling the entire Hindu community violent is a serious issue."

On Lok Sabha, LoP Rahul Gandhi's speech, LJP (RV) MP Shambhavi Choudhary says, "We condemn the manner in which he called Hindus 'violent'...This was his first speech as the LoP.

Had he wanted, he could have spoken of national interest, schemes but instead of doing that, he spoke of Hindus, Muslims, Christians...He wasted everyone's time..."

Majority population will become minority one day: High Court on conversions

The Allahabad High Court dismissed a bail plea of a man, accused of converting a group of Hindus into Christianity and said the country's majority population will become minority one day if religious conversions were not stopped.

Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal made the observation while dismissing the bail plea of one Kailash, accused of converting a group of Hindus from a village to Christianity.

"If this process is allowed to be carried out, the majority population of this country would be in minority one day, and such religious congregation should be immediately stopped where the conversion is taking place and changing the religion of citizens of India," the court said, according to Bar and Bench.

The High Court ordered an immediate ban on religious congregations where conversations of individuals are taking place, saying that such activities directly violated the right to religious freedom as enshrined in Article 25 of the Constitution.

Article 25 states that individuals are free to believe in any religion, worship and propagate their religion, subject to some restrictions.

The High Court said propagation meant to promote religion and did not mean to convert any person from his religion to another. It said it took note of instances of the poor being misled and converted to Christianity in various parts of Uttar Pradesh.

On NDA meeting, Union Minister & JD(S) MP, HD Kumaraswamy says, "The PM advised all the MPs to be present in the House and learn a lot of things. He also advised all members on how to behave in the House and work in favour of the people."

After NDA Parliamentary party meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju says, "...I believe that when the PM of the country speaks, everyone - not just MPs - should take it seriously because he is the Prime Minister of the country. Great people of the country have made PM Modi, the Prime Minister for the third consecutive term historically..."

He further says, "The manner in which LoP Rahul Gandhi behaved yesterday, turned his back towards the Speaker, spoke out of rules and insulted the Speaker is something that people of our party, the NDA should not do..."

Bansuri Swaraj, New Delhi MP, highlighted the government’s achievements over the past decade, emphasising the consistency between its words and actions. “For the first time in a decade, we have a government whose deeds match its promises,” she proclaimed.

She lauded the abrogation of Article 370, the construction of the Ram Temple, the introduction of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), and the implementation of One Rank, One Pension (OROP). She also mentioned the foundation of the Make-in-India initiative and the transformation of India’s economy, which now stands as the fifth largest in the world.

“This speech is historic,” Bansuri said, “not only because it depicts the unparalleled achievements of the Modi Government over the past decade but also because it heralds the promise of a golden era—an era of a developed India.” She credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s welfare schemes and visionary leadership for earning the people’s trust and securing a decisive mandate for the NDA.

"The first speech of Rahul Gandhi as the Leader of Opposition was full of lies, factless statements. The topic of discussion in Lok Sabha was 'President's speech', on which Rahul Gandhi did not say even a single word. He not only insulted the Hindus but he also said that Hindus are violent," says Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma
