"Yes, I was focused on playing one match at a time. It was a tough group. Going forward, I will keep the same strategy and just focus on one match at a time," said Lakshya after stunning Jonatan Christie in men's singles badminton. 


Meanwhile, Lakshya Sen also spoke about how Manu Bhaker's medal has inspired the entire Indian contingent. 








"She is a good friend of mine. We have played a lot of multi-sporting events. Congrats to her on winning 2 medals. It inspires you to do well," said Lakshya.


Boxing : Assam's Lovlina Borgohain one win away from securing 2nd medal


Lovlina Borgohain will take on China's Li Qian, a two-time Olympic medalist. Lovlina had lost to Li in the Asian Games women's 75kg final. 


Lovlina is through to the quarter-final of women's 75kg. A dominant performance from the Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist. She wins the Round of 16 bout with an unanimous decision. 


Veteran Indian archer Deepika Kumari qualified for the R16 event in women's singles competition by beating Netheralnds' Quinty Roefen. 


Lakshya Sen and P V Sindhu stormed into Round of 16. Lakshya stunned All England champion Jonatan Christie of Indonesia in the final group-stage match. 

Swapnil Kusale also reached the final of men's 25m rifle 3 positions.
