New Delhi

Post-election is always the season for seeking new projects. This time at least two legislators are camping in Delhi and seeking nod from the respective ministries and Union Ministers for their new and ambitious projects.

BJP MLA Imkong Imchen, a former state minister and five time legislator from Koridang, on Thursday met Railway and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and demanded establishment of the Nagaland Integrated Information System. Imchen is also Advisor to Departments of Information and Public Relations.

"Our request is on the ground that Nagaland is a resource challenged state and therefore the department has faced challenges in the past.. the fact is my IPR department could not enhance its activities with latest information communication and technology tools," Imchen told 'Nagaland Page'.

"In the era of Digital India as envisioned by honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, it is a fact that our state still faces a lot of challenge as far as connectivity is concerned".
