Bharat today .... rides on and on ..... ::: Indian economy roaring .... its high GDP is the 'envy' of the world :::: Thanks to 10 years of Modi's stewardship, circa 2024 the country is on the brink of becoming a Superpower

The BJP, which won about 9% of the Muslim vote in the past two general elections 2014 and 2019, is now reportedly targeting 16%

Elections are on in India. All of it are happening at a crucial time of global history. Bharat -- that is India - also affectionately called the world's largest democracy - today in circa 2024 stands on the brink of becoming a superpower.

"India's potential as a superpower is not just a figment of imagination," says a video documentary entitled, 'Modi - The Creator of a Superpower'. Talking about polls, more than 2,600 political parties are registered in this year's election to elect its Lok Sabha -- the lower House of Parliament.

According to most analysts and political polling, the frontrunner is India’s prime minister, Narendra Modi, and his Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) which has been in power since 2014 and is seeking a third term, says a piece in 'The Guardian'.

Some pointers of 'make' a Superpower story !!

** India's population offers a huge advantage in the changing global dynamics.

**  Besides population dynamo, wave of reforms is driving the emerging economic giant.

** A series of regulatory changes are being brought in the system and in law to ensure a 'more business friendly' environment.

$$  The US policy has already shifted trying to take into account Bharat, that is India's growing global role in multiple sectors and especially in strategic and geo-politics.

India has sustained a growth rate of over 6% for close to two decades now (the US, in comparison, grew at less than 2% average over the last decade). So, projecting a high growth rate of 6% or more for India for the next two decades is a realistic assumption.

China and the US have ageing populations, with a much higher share of non-working population. India will continue to benefit from a demographic dividend until 2055. Its demographic dividend and improving physical and human infrastructure has the potential to 'sustain' a high growth rate in both manufacturing and modern services sectors for decades to come.

India is truly in a position to navigate a complex political milieu, its economic prowess and technological advancements have garnered global attention. From space exploration to nuclear power, India to most onlookers, radiates a sense of promise.

India is becoming a major manufacturing hub with world sourcing from India. Diverse array of industries from Chemicals and fertilizers to Semiconductors are getting sourced from India. Studies suggest cost effectiveness over other manufacturing destinations like China giving India the advantage.

India has been pressing for permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council (as part of the G4 nations but with a clause that it won't exercise its veto for the next 15 years).

It has received backing from the United States, France, Russia and the United Kingdom.

BJP's 'Muslim outreach' strategy is unique and targets voters in seats those have not been previously reported. The campaign is part of a larger push to woo India's 200 million Muslims, with whom the BJP and Modi have a long and fraught history.

BJP members and affiliates have often promoted anti-Islamic hate speech and violent vigilantism,

PM Modi denies religious discrimination exists in India.

Violence between Muslims and the Hindu majority is "deep-rooted" but only makes headlines now because political rivals use it to target the party when it holds power, said senior BJP leader Syed Zafar Islam. (Reuters news agency)
