Sickularism getting a bitter taste of the stuff they throw up on the platter for others.
US singer Mary Millben on Friday defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged that Namo was "frightened of Trump".
Rahul Gandhi's remarks followed claims by US President Donald Trump that PM Modi had assured him India would stop buying Russian oil. The Ministry of External Affairs has rejected Trump's yet another utterly misguided claims.
In fact, MEA spokesman Jaiswal said there no tele talk (on Wednesday) between PM Modi and President Donald Trump.
"You are wrong, @RahulGandhi," tweeted the singer.
She further said ==
"PM Narendra Modi is not afraid of President Trump. PM Modi understands the long game and his diplomacy with the U.S. is strategic. Just as @POTUS (Trump) will always put America’s interests first, so will PM Modi do what is best for India"
"I don’t expect you to understand this type of leadership because you don’t possess the acumen to be PM of India. Best to return to your “I hate India” tour that has an audience of one - you," she wrote directed her ire against former Congress president and at present Letter of Opposition in India' Lower House of parliament.
Ms Mary Millben also wrote that she applauds Modi and his government's diplomatic policy stance vis-a-vis Washington.
"I applaud that. That’s what Heads of State do. They do and say what is best for their country," she wrote.
She even added a sharp critique of Rahul Gandhi, saying that he lacks the necessary skills to lead the country:
"I don't expect you to understand this type of leadership because you don't possess the acumen to be the PM of India. Best to return to your 'I hate India' tour that has an audience of one - you."
Rahul Gandhi, in his post, had accused PM Modi of repeatedly "allowing" the US to dictate terms, including agreeing to stop buying Russian oil.
He also criticised the PM for sending congratulatory messages to Trump on the Gaza deal despite repeated snubs, cancelling the Finance Minister's visit to the US, and not contradicting Trump on claiming credit for a ceasefire with Pakistan during Operation Sindoor.
In fact, Rahul had hurried latched onto Trump's claims and lost no time in tweeting against Modi.
India's Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) responded firmly, rejecting Trump's claim of any telephonic conversation. Official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, said India's consistent priority is to "safeguard the interests of the Indian consumer in a volatile energy scenario".
He emphasised, "India is a significant importer of oil and gas. It has been our consistent priority to safeguard the interests of the Indian consumer in a volatile energy scenario.
Our import policies are guided entirely by this objective. Ensuring stable energy prices and secured supplies have been the twin goals of our energy policy. This includes broad-basing our energy sourcing and diversifying as appropriate to meet market conditions."
