PM Modi's crystal clear warning to Pakistan and the terror groups :::::: "I say to the whole world that India will identify, track and punish every terrorist and their backers"

"Today, from the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world that India will identify, track and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the earth," Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his maiden address post-Pahalgam attack.

"This attack has not just been on unarmed tourists; the enemies of the country have dared to attack the soul of India."

"I want to say in very clear words that the terrorists who carried out this attack and those who conspired in it will receive a punishment bigger than they can imagine," Modi said.

The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack that sent shockwaves across the country and triggered a mass exodus of tourists from the Valley.

PM Modi, who was in Saudi Arabia on a two-day visit when the attack took place, cut short his trip and returned to Delhi on Wednesday morning. After PM Modi chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) in the aftermath of the attack, the government announced a five-pronged diplomatic strike on neighbouring Pakistan.

India announced the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty until Pakistan credibly and irrevocably abjures its support for cross-border terrorism. Other measures include closure of Attari-Wagah checkpost, reducing the strength of respective High Commissions and declaring Pakistani diplomats in Delhi persona non grata.

Besides, Pakistani nationals will not be permitted to travel to India under the Saarc visa exemption scheme.

Modi switched from Hindi to English (something not done usually) to reiterate his message during a rally in Bihar's Madhubani to send out the message to the world that India will not spare those who attempt to attack its spirit.

"The entire nation is one in this resolve. Everyone who believes in humanity is with us...The punishment will be significant and stringent, which these terrorists would have never even thought about..," he said in a stern warning to the terrorists and their backers who made Pahalgam bleed.

  1. India had no alternative but to be assertive. But Pakistan as a lower riparian country will challenge New Delhi's move.
