Oil-Economy "reality" clash with Trump's 'ego-trip war' for REGIME CHANGE .... :::: War highlights "danger" of continued dependence on fossil fuels

Trump’s ego-trip war has collided with economic reality, but nothing much can be done to undo the damage !!

Did Israel's Mossad and US agencies ignore the VITAL fact that -- The Gulf region sits at the centre of Oil/gas system, as a supplier of crude and also as a hub for refining, petrochemical and fertiliser industries that sustain global manufacturing and agriculture ??

The foodchain fallout has taken ominous dimension !!

US-Israel had planned multiple steps -- Destruction of Instruments of Power (IRGC+ Oil Installations + Nuclear Installations)

** Use of Rebels/ Separatist ( Kurds+ Syrian Arab Fighters + Jaish u Adl)

*** Instigated Public Unrest --- all aimed towards Collapse of Regime

Donald Trump wanted a sequel to Venezuela ... but Iranians have the so-called 'Persian DNA' the -- requisite appetite to FIGHT.

This war actually brings to the fore the danger of continued dependence on fossil fuels – and why transitioning away from them is now more vital than ever. There are other lessons too.

From the 2008 financial crash to the food and energy crises that followed Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, global disruptions tend to hit the most vulnerable societies hardest. Rising energy and fertiliser costs cascade through transport, manufacturing and food systems, with poorer households and more fragile economies bearing the greatest burden.

This makes it clear that India too has to be cautious even as opposition-led panic creation is no art to survive these challenges.

Take Aways ::

-- The global production of energy and trade have remained heavily dependent on oil and gas.

- This war only exposes a crucial fact about the structure of the global energy.

-- The so called discussions at various levels never translated into actions about energy transitions.

Obviously other factors have to be factored in while analysing the war-politics triggered by Washington -- Were it not for oil/gas, none of this conflict either Venezuela or Iran would be happening !!

The war with Iran stems from a calculated decision by Tehran or its Houthi allies to use drones and missiles on Saudi installations.

We cannot ignore "infantile rage" that drove President Trump to tear up a meticulously worked out and globally sponsored accord with Iran.

Take a pause and recollect things understood in certain quarters in 2019 itself --

** The Sun and the Breeze are the cheapest ways to generate power.

** China did start focusing on churning out electric vehicles.

It was well appreciated that the technology available  could render "warmongering transparently absurd" even to the most belligerent soul like Donald Trump. But .... there was always a gap ?

How early warnings were never adhered to ??

Far back in the 1980s, Exxon predicted that by about 2060, CO2 levels would reach around 560 parts per million – double the preindustrial level – and that this would push the planet’s average temperatures up by about 2°C.

Midways around 2014-2015; analysts maintained that most sinister-looking international conflicts were just a fight over oil.

How? In Syria and Iraq, the militants of the so-called ‘Islamic State’ sold  captured oil while battling to establish a puritanical Sunni theocracy.

From Central Asia to Ukraine, Russia was contesting attempts backed by the US to minimise Europe’s dependence on Russian oil and natural gas.

The Obama regime too threatened the choke points through which most of China’s oil imports pass.
