Lt General Rajiv Ghai, Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Strategy) has assumed the prestigious appointment of Colonel of the Kumaon Regiment, Kumaon Scouts and Naga Regiment, taking over from Lieutenant General Ram Chander Tiwari, the outgoing General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Command.
The Colonel of the Regiment is a position of immense honour and tradition, symbolising leadership, mentorship and a deep connect with the troops. On assuming the appointment, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai conveyed his pride in leading these battle-hardened and illustrious regiments, known for their exceptional valour, rich legacy and unwavering commitment to the Nation.

During his visit, Lt Gen Pendharkar inspected the Droneshala, the Language School, and the Fixed Wing Drone Integrated Repair Lab, highlighting the role of advanced technology in modern warfare.
