BJP's Kerala list :::: Rajeev Chandrasekhar to contest from Nemom ::::: Ex- IPS officer R. Sreelekha fielded from Vattiyoorkavu

 

The BJP has released its first list of 47 candidates for the upcoming Kerala Legislative Assembly Election, fielding several prominent leaders as it seeks to expand its footprint in the state.


Among the key candidates is state party president and former Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar, who will contest from the Nemom Assembly constituency. The seat is expected to witness a direct contest between the BJP and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPIM).


Another former Union minister V. Muraleedharan has been fielded from the Kazhakkottam constituency, where a three-cornered contest between the CPIM, the Congress and the BJP is anticipated.  


BJP leader K. Surendran will contest from Manjeshwar, where the party is likely to face the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) in a direct contest.






Senior BJP leader Shobha Surendran has been fielded from Palakkad.

In Vattiyoorkavu, the BJP has nominated former IPS officer R. Sreelekha. 


The party has also given a ticket to Navya Haridas, who had contested the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Wayanad against Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. 


Haridas will contest the Assembly election from Kozhikode North.
