Haryana mandate proves : If BJP knows how to win amid adversaries, Congress knows the art of losing election !!

It is a classic case of 'Modi Hae toh Mumkin Hae' and history will remember the history .... It is historic as no party has ever done a hat-trick in Haryana, which was carved out of Punjab in 1966.

The Congress infighting was like icing in the cake.

The BJP scored hat-trick in Haryana and it is a record. In Jammu and Kashmir, it has also gained grounds. These election results will now work as mega boosters for Maharashtra and Jharkhand polls.

It is a more pleasant news for BJP and its supporters because in both Haryana and J&K, the party’s direct opponent was the Congress.

So the real battle for Rahul Gandhi still focusing on Adani narratives remains a non-starter.

PM Narendra Modi addressed four rallies in Haryana against 10 in 2019.

Local leaders were given their roles and freedom and like in Gurgaon belt it worked magical under the sitting MP.

"I would like to thank the people of Haryana for believing in PM Modi and policies of BJP. This is the victory of farmers, poor, women and youth of Haryana," says Haryana CM Nayab Saini

Bhupinder Singh Hooda gave at least 7o of the 90 tickets to his loyalists, to ensure that his claim on the chief minister's chair was bolstered when the Congress won. Ultimately, this brought the debacle.

BJP by tradition worked mostly among non-Jats in Haryana and this turned into a blessing in this year's crucial polls. "If there was a polarisation of Jat votes for the Congress, there was a counter-polarisation for the BJP," Rahul Verma, fellow at the Centre for Policy Research, told India Today TV.

True, the 'biggest factor' that helped the BJP was that the Jat community was perceived to be coalescing around the Congress.

On the other hand, it doesn't look like the Jats voted en bloc for the Congress. The BJP is leading in 19 of the 36 seats in Jat-majority seats.

In the Lok Sabha, the Congress won in the constituencies comprising 27 of the 36 Jat-land seats. The Congress, fighting under Jat leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda, had taken these seats as guaranteed.

Now, it seems this is the region where the BJP has gained as the the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) of Dushyant Chautala got marginalised.

The BJP showed its dominance in the Ahirwal region that has 11 Assembly seats.

Even in the Lok Sabha election, 10 of the 11 Assembly segments voted in the BJP's favour.

Gurugram, the cyberhub of Haryana, voted in the saffron party's favour.

Gurgaon BJP MP and Union Minister Rao Inderjit Singh, an Ahirwal leader, won a sixth term as MP earlier in 2024. He led the BJP's campaign in the Ahirwal region, and delivered.

The urban voters maintained their loyalty to the BJP. The BJP swept the seats in the urban centres.

Infighting harmed Congress like nothing else. Kumari Selja was left fuming.

She wielded considerable influence among the Dalit community, stayed away from campaigning for the most part and even skipped the manifesto launch event.

"History is being made in Haryana today, something we have never seen before, with the same party forming the government for the third time. If you (Rahul Gandhi) try to defame the country on the global stage, this is what happens.

The people of the state have once again delivered a blow to the false narrative with their votes," says BJP leader Radhika Khera.

Poll outcomes in Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir -- also the Story of BJP fighting back after a setback of  loss of over 50 seats in Lok Sabha polls.

And the saffron brigade has shown that they know to pull it through during difficult times.

Local leaders too gave their best.

For BJP, the entire campaign was around new Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, with the BJP banking on the fact that he had been in power for less than six months, and thus could dodge the 10-year anti-incumbency. Former CM Manohar Lal Khattar was cleverly fielded for Lok Sabha polls and is now Union Power Minister.

The BJP campaigned hard what the party government under both the chief ministers especially under Saini had done in terms of jobs and the backward classes, by raising the annual income limit of creamy layer for employment in the OBC category from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh.

One of the highlights of the BJP campaign was the promise of “bina parchi, bina kharchi naukri”, the allegation being that under the Congress two terms led by Bhupinder Singh Hooda, jobs could not be had without recommendations or bribes.
