All eyes on Modi's Krishnanagar meet on March 2 ::::::: 'Raja Ram Mohan Roy's soul would be crying': PM's blistering attack on TMC on Sandeshkhali

PM Narendra Modi's Krishnanagar meet on March 2, Saturday, will be interesting to see as vocal Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra ,,,,,

represented the seat until her expulsion from the Lok Sabha in December last year over the issue of Cash for Questions scam.

Insisting that someone must have been trying to save Shahjahan since he was on the run for nearly two months, the PM exhorted people to answer every injury with their vote, saying, "Har chot ka jawaab vote se dena hai".

(For every pain you suffered, hit them hard with your VOTE')

"TMC ney Sandeshkhali ke beheno ke saath jo kiya hae, woh dekh kar pura desh dukhi hae......

"Today, people in West Bengal are asking the Chief Minister .... for you has just few votes have become important than the suffering of Sandeshkhali".

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said that Raja Ram Mohan Roy's "soul would be crying" if he were made aware of the alleged sexual assault against the women of West Bengal's Sandeshkhali.

"The country is seeing what TMC has done with the sisters of Sandeshkhali. The whole country is enraged. The soul of Raja Ram Mohan Roy must have been crying over what happened in Sandeshkhali."

"A TMC leader crossed all limits. The BJP leaders in the state fought for the respect and dignity of the women here. Yesterday, the police had to arrest him (TMC leader Sheikh Shahjahan)," Modi said in his first visit to the Mamata Banerjee-ruled state where Sandeshkhali row is poised to turn into Singur/Nandigram part 2 vis-a-vis direct impact in the Lok Sabha elections.

He was addressing a rally in the Arambagh area of Hooghly district.  West Bengal sends 42 lawmakers into Lok Sabha and in 2019, the BJP had won 18 and this it has set a higher target of 35.

The Prime Minister said Trinamool MP Sheikh Shahjahan, who faces allegations of sexual assault and land-grabbing, was arrested solely due to the pressure exerted by the BJP on the authorities.

He criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleging her lack of
response regarding the Sandeshkhali matter.

"The state government tried everything to protect the (questionable) Trinamool leader".

He questioned the Opposition INDI alliance's silence on Sandeshkhali, comparing them to Mahatma Gandhi's three monkeys.

He said, "All the tall leaders of INDI alliance were silent on the Sandeshkhali incident. INDI alliance leaders were like the three monkeys of Gandhiji."

The Prime Minister inaugurated projects totaling Rs 7,200 crore and laid the foundation stone for initiatives in the Arambagh area of Hooghly district.

These projects encompass various sectors such as railways, ports, oil pipelines, LPG supply, and wastewater treatment.

"A Trinamool leader crossed all limits of audacity with women in Sandeshkhali and when they spoke up and sought help from Mamata didi, she and the Bengal government did everything in their power to shield him. It was because of pressure from the BJP leaders, who fought for the women and even braved assaults on their behalf, that the Bengal Police was forced to arrest the accused yesterday," Modi said.

Referring to the Trinamool Congress' slogan of 'Maa, Maati, Manush' (Mother, Land, and People), the PM said in Hindi, "What has been done to the women in Sandeshkhali by the Trinamool Congress, which keeps talking about 'Maa, Maati, Manush', has made the entire country sad and angry.

Raja Ram Mohan Roy's soul must be in tears because of the deeds of these people."

"Consorting with corrupt, nepotism and appeasement policies of Congress and INDI Alliance. This is the only work that survives. This is the biggest job for them. Trinamool has created a new model of crime and corruption in Bengal," PM Modi said.

"Piles of notes are coming out from the houses of TMC ministers. On top of that, the government here is also adopting every trick to stop the central investigating agencies from investigating. The Chief Minister here sits on strike to save the corrupt."

"Centre is sending funds to Bengal, but TMC government is not utilising them and creating blockades," he said.

  1. The way this debauchery has been allowed to continue is really sickening. PM Modi has rightly chosen to put the opposition parties on the mat . Those who were very vocal during the Manipur crisis have been conspicuously quiet and why. The Sandeshkhali episode is much treacherous and heinous than what happened in Manipur. No doubt Manipur is a totally different chapter and no point comparing the two. But Sandeshkhali really makes one one's blood boil. Did anyone notice the recent recruitment in the Kolkata police force? Go through every name that has found a place in the law enforcement force. And to expect them to take action against the perpetrator of Sandeshkhali victims is like a direct attack on Mamata's rule.they will never do it, I fear. The only option left with the PM Modi is to recommend President's Rule in West Bengal and given that the President is a woman I expect her highness Draupadi Murmu to initiate strict action.
