Namo gets welcome banners in Kuki areas !! Can analysts claim ... Prime Minister’s Visit to Lamka: A Turning Point ????

First time since ethnic clashes between Kukis and Meiteis engulfed Manipur in 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be making his first visit to the state at the earliest.

(If there are still issues in Imphal valley, the BJP should get its house in order.

An ambition politician should be shown his place !!

All eyes on Modi's visit to Manipur

The Prime Minister’s Visit to Lamka:

A Turning Point ??

Kukis do not mind welcoming Prime Minister Modi and they too have issues and certain pre-conditions - if one may say.

One local social workers said -- a people long wounded do not seek pity but the promise of justice, dignity, and the chance to flourish.

They say it's their 'ancestral land'? Well, that's the whole dispute about.

Meiteis need not be very happy with such claims at this juncture.

The Kuki Z people say their cry is not of despair, but of hope !!

That's encouraging. But like all human race in conflicts or otherwise --- there are always two and even multiple sides to Truth.

Of course the the truth needs to seen and voices need to be heard.

But a section of humanity may always say - Truth is also about legacy.

At least the legacy of Statehood.

This is where Congress leadership blundered.

Linguistic kinds of naming of states is a big price the country is paying.

Rush to Mumbai -- there will be nepo kids.

They want Bombay/Mumbai to be commercial capital but they have 'hatred' for North Indians.

But when it comes to hard work -- natives everywhere want to look for a cheap one.

In Nagaland - the cheapest one is Mia -- coming from Bangladesh.

In West Bengal - mother of a jobless youth is worried -- if her son gets a job in Haryana -- will he get fish.

In Tripura - Kamalpur boys and talent pool of girls - but the job should be near Aaampasha at best !!

Ek Akela Modi ... what he can do ?

Dr. C. Thangsing, Vice President, KPA, Lamka says --

"After nearly three years of relentless mayhem, ethnic strife, and immeasurable sufferings—our people maimed, killed, displaced, and burnt out of their settlements in the valley and also in the villages have now return to our ancestral land .....".

He also says: "The Prime Minister’s visit to Lamka, Churachandpur, carries undeniable weight.

It comes late, yes, and many will rightly lament that India’s leader did not find time to stand with an ethnic war-torn Manipur sooner. Yet, however belated or brief, this visit cannot be ignored."

It is a signal moment and a welcome change.

Lt Gen Abhijit S Pendharkar, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Spear Corps, undertook a high-level visit to Manipur to review the prevailing security situation in view of the "upcoming VVIP visit to the state".

That's how professional people in uniform should 'disclose' information.

Security cannot be fooled around !!

The Corps Commander visited critical security zones along the Maphitel Ridge and Maphou Dam area in Kangpokpi district, where he was briefed by the Commanding Officer on the current dynamics of the security zone.

He also carried out an operational review of Army formations deployed in the region and interacted with company commanders and troops to assess their preparedness for emerging security challenges. The Corps Commander also interacted with the Ex-Servicemen, BSF and CRPF personnel.

"The time has come for New Delhi to recognize our rightful demand: a Union Territory with legislature," -Kukis claim.

Police confirmed there was an incident at around 8pm Thursday at Bongmol, followed by Pearsonmun village and then Phailien Bazar. The miscreants were reportedly destroying and removing decorations prepared for the likely visit of the Prime Minister.

The fresh clash erupted between unidentified miscreants and police at three different locations in Churachandpur district of Manipur .
