But today the anarchists have failed.
The flop show of anarchist elements completely collapsed - BJP
"Rahul Gandhi ka bayan .. ek na-layak neta ka bayan tha" - BJP spokesman Sambit Patra on LoP comments after meeting President.
On security arrangements, DCP Special Cell Narra Chaitanya says, "... We are at India Gate, and the situation is peaceful, with no major gathering. People are cooperating, as they are aware that Section 163 of the BNSS has been enforced...
There has been no inappropriate activity, and the situation remains under control.
We took over security early in the morning and are diverting any potential protests. We appeal to people not to hold protests near India Gate...".
Former Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, along with CPI(M) MP John Brittas, detained by police following a protest outside Kerala Bhawan.
John Brittas says, "Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan, former Chief Minister of Kerala and now the opposition leader in the Kerala assembly, and KN Balagopal, former finance minister and senior CPI(M) leader, and I, John Brittas.
"We were then taken in a police jeep. We were taken round and round in Delhi city. Thereafter, we were taken to Chhatrasal Stadium.
After 30-45 minutes, we were again taken to a police jeep. And we don't know where we are going. This is the situation... Delhi is under siege. Delhi has been completely taken over by the Delhi police. I feel that basic civil liberties are being taken away by the Delhi police and also the central forces...
BJP National Spokesperson and MP Sambit Patra says,
"...Jantar Mantar's story is not India's story. What is happening at Jantar Mantar, what you can see on TV and a few social media handles, is not India's story. India is calm and going ahead under good governance.
We have been seeing that a few anarchist forces have been spreading anarchy in a corner of Delhi for the past few days.
But today the anarchists have failed.
The flop show of anarchist elements has completely collapsed.
There was an attempt to hold India, the national capital, captive; that there be arson here, that there be violence here. But today, 'loktantra' has triumphed over 'bheedtantra'...".
Sambit Patra says,
"Yesterday a few politicians visited the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The statement of Rahul Gandhi after coming out of the Rashtrapati Bhavan was like that of a 'nalayak neta'...
Never before was an attempt made to drag the President into a street protest.
But a 'nalayak neta' attempted to do that.
The anarchist Rahul Gandhi tried to pull the President of India to the anarchism which he is trying his best to conduct on the streets of India."
Speaking on Opposition leaders' tweets on Starlink, BJP National Spokesperson and MP Sambit Patra says,
"...This is a fight of Modi vs Mir Jafar. These are people who can mortgage even the country for power. This attempt to spread anarchy on the streets - the country should know that they want to come to power without winning, without contesting elections.
"They want to be the PM without working hard, even if they have to mortgage the country for it. Mir Jafar is ready to adopt double standards. This is a fight of Modi vs Mir Jafar..."
