On Naseeruddin Shah’s remarks on the BJP, Union Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju says,
"I didn't even know that Naseeruddin was a person with this kind of 'dimagi Naxal' mindset. I just thought of him as an artist. He seemed like a decent, good artist. So I just viewed him as an artist. Turns out he's a mental Naxal himself..." .
On Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's statement, the Union Minister said:
"Everyone in the Congress party has said that at 85, he could think and say such things as the national president of the Congress. No one imagined this. I keep meeting Kharge, we talk in Parliament, and we meet. I never thought he would turn out like this.
I thought at least he is an elder and will speak with some wisdom...".
Actor Gajendra Chauhan of 'Mahabharat' says, -- "... Naseer bane rahiye nasur mat baniye...".
He says, "... If you are so fond of opposing the government, why don't you contest the elections? Contest the elections. I challenge you: wherever you contest the election, I will contest against you, and I will defeat you...
"This country gave you so much respect as an artist, so much honor, and it's all ruined... I am a worker of the BJP. I will also request the party that if Naseeruddin Shah contests from anywhere, I should be fielded against him...".
A post in social media ran stating:
"Traitor Gulfam Hassan is showing his true colours. Now even the veneer of sophistication is lost. Naseeruddin Shah has gone fully senile.
Clear that he doesn’t get much sleep either from the industrial sized bags under his eyes. Probably sits up through the night ranting!"
Mahabharat’s Duryodhan, Puneet Issar, blasts Naseeruddin Shah
“If you DISAGREE with the government, enter POLITICS, CONTEST, and DEFEAT it. You remain SILENT on major issues, selectively outraged through a NAXAL lens.”
“Backing TERRORISTS & 'TUKDE-TUKDE' elements ISN'T PATRIOTISM.”
Puneet Issar also said: "My only point is that when you speak, you should not be selective.
On how many issues concerning the world and India do you remain silent, sitting quietly like a mute spectator? You single out one-sided, left-leaning and Naxal-leaning views and respond to everything from that ideological perspective.
"Look at these 'Tukde-Tukde' gangs and people from JNU. When it comes to convicted criminals in our country and terrorists who are currently in jail, they talk about their release and speak in their favour.
"If you support such people, then what does it mean to be Indian? You have every right to express your views and speak against the government. But if you do not like the government that has come to power, step into the political arena.
"Contest elections, win and defeat this government. This government did not come to power arbitrarily; the people of this country chose it and elected it..."
