Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta insists "evidence tampered with" in Liquor scam .... says "People of Delhi served justice by voting AAP out. ..... Everyday scams emerge in schemes started by Kejriwal"

On Arvind Kejriwal discharged in Delhi excise policy case, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta says," This is the lower court's decision...We all know how evidence (in liquor policy case) was tampered with. If you (Arvind Kejriwal) were right, then why did you withdraw the liquor policy as soon as the investigation started?...The courts had also expressed their worry on this case and traces of money laundering was found. Even today you are doing drama...

What development did you do in Delhi? Everyday scams emerge in schemes started by you. People of Delhi served justice by voting you out. I am sure the court will also give justice."

Hold polls in Delhi, will quit politics if BJP wins over 10 seats: Arvind Kejriwal

AAP convener said, "The entire Delhi has been ruined. The biggest consequence of PM Modi and Amit Shah's lust for power has been borne by the three crore people of Delhi.

Go and ask the people of Delhi. Today I challenge Modi ji. If you have the courage, hold elections in Delhi again. If you get more than ten seats, I will quit politics. The people of Delhi are fed up with you people".

Senior advocate and Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi says, "It's a very important judgment, and I'm happy that at various stages from 2021-22 up to date, both in the liquor matters, both in the civil matters, both in the bail matters, and in the ED matters, I was involved at different stages... discharge means that there is not even a case for which charges can be framed...

This is a bold and courageous judgment which goes by the law. It doesn't get digressed and diverted into bylanes and alleyways... Third, it deals with the arguments we made at different times over the last 4 years or 3 years... This whole practice, the entire design of these proceedings, which has always been: catch people, keep them incarcerated, subject their relatives to intimidation and pressure...

Then suddenly they go through some laundering machine and become approvers, and upon that they get bail and then start making allegations against the accused. This whole narrative has been condemned and castigated by the judgment..."

He adds,

"The court remembers and reiterates the old principle that the worst form, the lowest form of evidence, is an approver's evidence...

The institutional decision, par excellence, which is multi-layered over almost a year, went through 10–12 layers, including the LG's office... It's a 600-page judgment... It's a vindication of the law and of justice against Vendetta politics, which is then criminalised and weaponised, with agencies sometimes acting at the behest of the master puppeteers for ulterior motives...".

After being discharged in the Delhi excise policy case, Telangana Jagruthi President K Kavitha says :

"The court has honourably discharged all those involved in this liquor policy case, which has been haunting us for the past 2-3 years. We have always said that this is a political vendetta. We have always said that this is a false and politically motivated case, and the court has only proven what we have been saying all along.

And most interestingly, the court actually ordered an investigation against the investigating officer, as some media reports suggested.

This is a huge moral victory for all of us...the court has made a very strong comment on the South-North divide that this entire case has attempted to create in the process. God and nature bless those who want to work for the people.

Last month, I announced that in a few months, we would be forming a new political party. And I believe the clean chit we have received now has given us more blessings...
