It's called Fact Check and it came within 17 months of the interim regime that came to power in Dhaka after an orchestrated 'regime change' vis-a-vis the ouster of Sheikh Hasina.
This period may go down the memory lane as the best period for Bangladesh to learn about Bharat and the greatness attached to it in more ways than one.
A number of eminent TV talk shows in Dhaka these days question the manner the interim regime has/had taken Bangladesh closer to Pakistan.
One participant said - "In the given situation ... no one is with you. You are alone and who is standing with you is only Pakistan. And Pakistan is a country which is not sure of its own standing".

| Pakistani PMs .... including Bhutto, his daughter, Nawaz and also Imran - symbols of failure |
Among numerous Dhaka-based intellectuals and eminent journalists and former bureaucrats - one retired civil servant (who served in high position) -- cited former Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri's resignation as the Railway Minister over a train accident. His refrain was such leaders or those in power in Dhaka would never give up public offices.
He went onto say - "we can never give up our offices ... we may at best urinate".
In the entire political drama in last few weeks in Bangladesh; one Indian who is spoken most and surprisingly in quite a laudable sense is PM Narendra Modi's External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar.
One local expert counseled his co-participants and viewers during a debate that Dr Jaishankar ranks among the
-- "top 10 diplomats in the world .... one could also place him among top five".
Of course, participants talks about Dr Jaishankar's recent visit to Dhaka to pay respect to former Bangladeshi PM Khaleda Zia. Of course, the toast of the town has been Indian foreign minister's well charted out meeting with Khaleda's son Tarique Rahman - who is likely to become next Prime Minister.
Observers appreciate the 'Big Picture message' of Jaishankar shaking hands with Tarique in presence of his Hijab-clad England educated daughter. Multiple participants said New Delhi pressed into action its 'Chanakya policies' vis-a-vis Bangladesh and has tried to win over that country's future leadership with love, empathy and very timely strategic move.
One of them said - there was a big message on the part of Govt of India when the letter from the Prime Minister Modi was handed to Tarique Rahman by Jaishankar himself.
If it was just a courtesy letter -- it could have been handed over by India's envoy in Dhaka.
Moreover; unlike many international leaders who attended Khaleda Zia's funeral - Dr Jaishankar gave a deliberate slip to a requested meeting with Muhammad Yunus.
Reportedly; the Bangladesh government tried for such a meeting - but Dr Jaishankar skipped it giving it the excuse of time.
Few samples of what Bangladeshi intellectuals speak about India :
** "When everybody is being anti-India in Bangladesh... India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited Bangladesh High Commissioner office in Delhi and Dr Jaishankar visited Dhaka.
"Jaishankar Bangladesh-e machhi marte ashen nai (He did not visit Dhaka to catch flies)".
** Any mob force (like NCP and Yunus Govt) cannot bring development. Pakistan nije rai cholte paarey na (Pakistan cannot function on its own). India has shown what is Diplomacy".
*** "India has started Chanakya niti ... the moment Bangladesh is ready to go to polls.
** India applies Chanakya niti with Bangladesh ... where we have 'aabeg (emotion);
abhiman (complaint with reasonableness) and prem (Love/affection/empathy)".
