Dark History !! -- Price paid by Palestinians, Iraqis and Afghans is beyond imagination ...... ::: Every time it all boomeranged :::: Venezuela will leave same fallout

Donald Trump has acted. Venezuela is victim. Welcome 2026; The west has dehumanised itself !!

Antifascism – is a phantom

Do not expect the violent dehumanisation and dystopian military technologies were perfected in Gaza. They still remain ... and kicking there.

Human race's dark history tells us ... some moral lessons - but ....Pity we did not heed its lessons.

It is always wise to reflect back on how things move often by default and in the rest of the cases ... by design.  The tool maybe is in your hand or someone else.

* US elites promised their people utopian dreams.

** But America and parts of western world were 'dragged' from one disaster to another.

** Key take away: "Trumpism" itself emerged from the resulting mass disillusionment.

Another word is Frustration or absence of alternatives. In Indian political science; analysts call it TINA factor - there is no alternative.

And when 'alternative' comes .. it may be worse than what it was : -

Classic examples --- AAP as a political party. Arvind Kejriwal as a leader

**In West Bengal; - Left 'left' the state in the lurch and the resultant was Mamata Banerjee.

When the Soviet Union collapsed, US elites convinced themselves they were militarily invincible.

They also believed the Western and US 'economic models' marked the endpoint of human development.

This was hubris leading to catastrophe in Iraq, Afghanistan and even Libya.

The financial crash of 2008 is unforgettable.

The unwritten law is the new world order.

Hence - when Trump menaces elected presidents of Colombia and Mexico – better -- we believe him.

If Trump says .. “Cuba is ready to fall,” - the same theory believe him.

And when he states, “We do need Greenland, absolutely”, believe him.

Now Oil Grab ::

"Trump’s great virtue, if it can be called that, is candour. Previous US presidents draped naked self-interest in the language of “democracy” and “human rights”. Trump dispenses with the costume.

In 2023, he boasted: “When I left, Venezuela was ready to collapse. We would have taken it over, we would have gotten all that oil, it would have been right next door.” And this was no off-the-cuff remark," - writes Owen Jones in 'The Guardian'.

The detention of Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro is not merely a geopolitical shock or an episode of American power projection.

It is a structural warning for intelligence and counterintelligence agencies worldwide including in India, particularly those tasked with protecting state leadership. The central lesson is blunt: awareness of being targeted by foreign intelligence agencies does not, by itself, constitute protection.

Maduro and his inner circle were not operating under illusions. For years, they publicly acknowledged that U.S. agencies were seeking his removal, capture, or prosecution. Among those agencies, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was the central pole -- goes an article in 'The Sunday Guardian'.
