Aspirational district program to develop backward districts.

PM Modi said as soon as his government was formed, a campaign was launched for the development of more than 100 backward districts of the country. "Today, these districts have gone ahead of other districts in many parameters," he said.

This success is now being taken to the block level.

** Ease of living, which includes the transfer of facilities online.

"I can claim that you would not have heard words like 'Ease of Living' during the times of previous governments. After all, how could a government with an indifferent attitude pay attention to the 'Ease of Living' of the citizens?" said PM Modi. Earlier, those who were powerful became entitled to the facilities and the common man had to bear the cost.

This is 'Sickular' shocker .... "India will be growing for next 25 years," says President of World Economic Forum Borge Brende

"It is not that India is only growing ....but it is growing at a pace and helping and supporting the rest of the world.....India is one single country providing 15 percent of the global growth," President of World Economic Forum Borge Brende said at the 'India Today' conclave.

"We do expect that India will meet the 10 Trillion US dollar Economy in the next decade...We do predict that India will very soon become the world's third largest economy," he said.

'Unfair to lump US with Canada': S Jaishankar on ties with North American countries

Union Foreign Minister S Jaishankar commented on India's ties with North American countries on the Khalistani issue and said it would be "unfair to lump" the US with Canada.

Dr Jaishankar replied, "You keep using the US and Canada seamlessly. I would draw a line there for a variety of reasons. Most notably that, all said and done, American politics has not given that kind of space to violent, extremist views and activities that Canada has done. So, I don't think it is fair to the US to lump them together.

I would distinguish between the two."

The US had accused that an Indian government agency employee had directed a plot to murder Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.

On the other hand, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had alleged that there was a "potential link" between agents of the Government of India and the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, another Khalistani terrorist.

S Jaishankar said after the US shared information regarding the alleged plot to murder Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, India decided to set up a "high-powered committee" to look into it as there seemed to be an "organised crime aspect" to the case.

On CAA implementation and remarks from US authorities and others in the west, Dr S Jaishankar says:  "I am questioning their understanding of our history. I mean if you hear the comments from many parts of the world; it is as though the Partition of India never happened".

"And as if there were no consequential impact which the CAA is supposed to address. So if you take a problem and remove all historical contexts from it, sanitize it and make it into political correctness argument, and say I have principles.....I have principles too. One of my principles is obligation to people who were let down at the time of partition."
