BJP first list ..... Scindia to contest from Guna, Sushma Swaraj's daughter, Bansuri named from New Delhi; Amit Shah - Gandhinagar :::: Modi to contest from #Varanasi for third time ::: Several sitting MPs replaced

In BJP's first list, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has been fielded again in Lucknow. From Amethi, sitting MP and Union Minister Smriti Irani will be the Lotus party nominee yet again. She defeated Rahul Gandhi in 2019 in this traditional Congress stronghold.


The BJP won 303 seats in the 2019 polls but currently it has 290 members in Lok Sabha for various reasons including some MPs recently resigning after winning assembly polls.



Late Sushma Swaraj's daughter, Bansuri Swaraj has been fielded from New Delhi. In South Delhi, new BJP candidate will be Ramvir Singh Bidhuri. 


Former Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan is to contest from Vidisha.


Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has been fielded from Guna. Scindia in 2019 lost the seat as a Congress nominee. 



Ramesh Bidhuri, Parvesh Verma, Meenakshi Lekhi, Dr Harsh Vardhan dropped from Delhi.

Sadhvi Pragya Thakur dropped from Bhopal. Now Alok Sharma to contest from Bhopal. 


Modi  to contest from #Varanasi for the third consecutive time. List includes 34 Union Ministers 






The list, that includes includes names of 28 women, 47 leaders under the age of 50 and 57 members from the OBC community. 



In the first list there are 15 candidates from Gujarat; 

Home Minister Amit Shah to contest from BJP stronghold Gandhinagar and Mansukhbhai Mandaviya to contest from Porbandar.

Union Minister Rupala to contest from Rajkot  


Kiren Rijiju to contest from Arunachal West, 

BJP MP Bishnu Pada Ray to contest from Andaman & Nicobar, 

BJP MP Tapir Gao to contest from Arunachal East, 


Former Assam CM and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to contest from Dibrugarh


Silchar: Parimal Shukla Vaidya 


Mangoldoi - Dilip Saikia

Tezpur - Ranjit Dutta 

Nagaon - Suresh Bora 

Kaliabor - Kamakhya Prasad Tasa. He will take on Congress stronman Gaurav Gogoi, who has been winning the seat consecutively two times - 2014 and 2019.


Kaliabor is even otherwise a traditional Congress stronghold.  Tarun Gogoi, Congress veteran and former CM won the seat thrice. 


In total, 11 BJP nominees named for Assam where there are 14 seats. 


BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde says, "Under the leadership of PM Modi various public interest decisions have been taken in the last 10 years. This time the Sankalp should be BJP 370 & NDA 400 'par'...".









Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that the state government has requested the Election Commission (EC) to schedule voting for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the state before the festival of Bihu which is celebrated in mid-April. 

"The state government has already urged the EC to conclude the election in the state before the Bihu festival." 








BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde said -- the first list includes 

51 candidates from Uttar Pradesh, 

20 from West Bengal, 

24 from Madhya Pradesh, 

15 each from Gujarat and Rajasthan, 

12 from Kerala, 

9 from Telangana, 


11 each from Assam, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, 

5 from Delhi, 

2 each from Jammu and Kashmir and Arunachal Pradesh, 

3 from Uttarakhand, 

1 each from Goa, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar and Daman and Diu.


"There are 34 Union Minsters in the list of 195 candidates finalised ....The Lok Sabha Speaker as well as two former CMs are also part of the list. Names of 28 female candidates have also been finalised for first list. 27 SC, 18 ST and 57 OBC candidates are part of the 195-candidate list,” says BJP general secretary Vinod Tawde at a press conference in Delhi.

In Jharkhand, from Jamshedpur, BJP nominee will be - Vidhyut Baran Mahato 

Hazaribagh -- Jayant Sinha replaced by Manish Jaiswal  


Vocal BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has been fielded again from Gonda. Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda from Khunti 


In Telangana, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy to contest from Secunderabad.   


Former Tripura CM, Biplab Deb has been fielded from Tripura West. 



In Uttar Pradesh, Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti has been fielded from Fatehpur while former BSP MP Ritesh Pandey will be now BJP candidate from Ambedkar Nagar. 


From Azamgarh, BJP's candidate will be Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua. 


West Bengal BJP nominees:

Asansol -- Bhojpuri film actor Pawan Singh. 










BJP's Babul Supriyo had won the seat in 2014 and 2019. But Supriyo defected to Trinamool and now Shatrughan Sinha represents the constituency as TMC nominee.

Alipurduars: Manoj Tikka

Balurghat: State BJP chief Sukanta Mazumdar
