As far as Modi is concerned, there is utter frustration among non-Hindu, 'sickular' and western intellectuals: They hate him, and hence campaign to lampoon continues

Passion is not the same as a single-minded determination although in pursuance of one’s goal all elementary essentials body, mind and spirit would play their respective roles in pursuing a passion.

A key takeaway from Narendra Modi’s success tale will be that his 'virtues' or traits can be either born with and rarely nurtured.

A focused liking for one’s ambition gives a purpose to actions. Modi has shown that without kneeling down before the western powers and Americans, he can compel the US and United Kingdom to come closer to him.

Predictably, the western media is unable to stomach some of what is going around in India. Sample this:

"Modi’s supporters treat the idea of secularism as a foreign imposition on a grand civilisation, and as camouflage for the mistreatment and suppression of Hindus. In reality it is their aggressive chauvinism that has cost Indian society dearly, and it is Muslims who are treated as second-class citizens," -- well, the verdict is from 'The Guardian'.

The Catholic website UCAN says, stage is set for emergence of the "Indian Republic of ‘Jai Shri Ram".

And then the smart journalistic style of putting the perspective in the form of a question.

"Is it that slowly but inexorably, Republic Day will cede place to the 'new epoch,' the dawn of a Hindu nation?"  The article has usual innuendos and at times even economical with facts.

For instance it says the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) threatens to disenfranchise millions of citizens belonging to minority communities. The communists propaganda even influenced the Christians. The fact of the matter is CAA gives 'citizenship' to Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains who could face religious persecution in three Islamic-smitten nations Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

But the figure purpose is Modi-bashing. Hence, small compromises are allowed. It is also ignored that CAA pending since the time of Jawaharlal Nehru, the individuals whom Christians to communists keep remembering fondly.

Nevertheless the 'intolerance' is well reflected. After much rancor, struggle and litigation, the Ram Temple has come up — an impressive and ornate structure in marble and sandstone, and the pride of every Indian, both here and abroad, says UCAN adding, however, the Ram Mandir is not just a symbol of devotion. It also stands for the resurgence of this nation after centuries of colonialist oppression.

But is such a 'resurgence' a crime by itself. The fact of the matter is India as a nation did not start in 1947 -- post the halfhearted farewell by the Britons.

Modi resembles an ideal case of fighting back with his back on the wall. He has led Hindus and his country also on that track, wherein we need not be apologetic of being idol worshippers. Success is definitely not what one attains easily spoon fed.

The success is always sweeter when one braves through all odds and it can come only after one has crossed the hurdles. Modi handed over an idol to visiting French president Emmanuel Macron as well. This was not attempted to make him a Hindu.

Handing over Bible in many Indian languages is a religious freedom na?

The reputation of a successful person and the credibility about it lies in the story of his or her struggle. Success, therefore they say, is how high once bounced back from the rock bottom. Hindus have bounced back after an estimated 500 years if not more.

Narendra Modi’s track record also exemplifies that avoiding a beaten track puts one on advantage and helps to gain competitive edge over the rivals. The single-minded approach led him to these milestones.

Again checkout what 'The Guardian' edit says: "....he (Modi) went beyond the exploitation of ethno-religious sentiment. He did not merely attend the ceremony; he carried out rituals. Religion and authoritarianism have proceeded hand-in-hand in recent years."

Now take a break, and examine what BBC says: "This time, the (Coronation) ceremony emphasised diversity and inclusion, with more multi-faith elements than any previous coronation, with contributions from Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist and Sikh representatives.

A Bible lesson was read by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who is Hindu, and music was sung in Welsh, Scottish Gaelic and Irish." These suggests, the King's coronation wherein a Hindu Prime Minister (of course after many Christian PMs have failed) reads out a few lines from Bible is tolerance, reflection of 'diversity' is so graceful.

Imagine, a Christian BJP leader of any other Christian or Muslim individual is made to read a line from Bhagwat Geeta.  Heaven would have fallen !!

The UCAN article says, "The new Ram represents a new era of official and legalized segregation (“apartheid”?)" And yet the Hindus tolerate !! There is something called 'festering wounds' gentlemen and Muslims in India now know what those 'wounds' in Hindus would actually mean.

Why Modi's story is 'Rendezvous with Success' for Hindus ?

The party Modi represented in 2014 and till now and today in the run up to the Lok Sabha elections, is still being called ‘communal’ and a Hindu chauvinist outfit owing allegiance to the RSS in Nagpur.  Although the party had tasted power in the centre for 6 years under the illustrious Atal Behari Vajpayee, the party did not have pan-India presence.

Even in 2024, the BJP’s one of the chief challenges is to ensure party’s comparatively good performance in states like Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Yet, the organizationally weak party is sweating it out to change the plot.

Moreover, caste wise – Modi is an OBC – a Teli unlike political dominant castes like Dalits of Mayawati or the Yadavs. Moreover, very few in BJP have risen against the hierarchy of an upper caste dominated leadership.

Even the RSS, the fountainhead of the Sangh Parivar, which backs BJP with ideological moorings, cadres and resources is known for their historical ‘weaknesses’ towards Brahmins, especially from Maharashtra. The repeated attempts to push Sanjay Joshi, a known Modi bete-noire in the affairs of BJP, and later Nitin Gadkari could be easily understood from this perspective.

But Modi and today his large 'Hindu' family has the assertive approach. By refusing to be defeated, Modi, India Hindus have in a sense emerged a winner long before the battle was over.
