Bachchan buys land, to build home in 'global spiritual capital' Ayodhya :::: 2024 : Story is still Moditva Unbound.... !! Tharoor predicts BJP as 'single largest party'

Amitabh Bachchan buys plot in Ayodhya ahead of Ram Temple inauguration

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly bought plot in Ayodhya of Rs 14.5 crore, days ahead of the Ram Temple inauguration.

"I am looking forward to embark on this journey with The House of Abhinandan Lodha for The Sarayu in Ayodhya, a city that holds a special place in my heart. The timeless spirituality and cultural richness of Ayodhya have forged an emotional connection that transcends geographical boundaries. This is a start of a heartfelt journey into the soul of Ayodhya, where tradition and modernity seamlessly co-exist, creating an emotional tapestry that resonates with me deeply.

"I am looking forward to building my home in the global spiritual capital.”

The Sarayu is expected to be launched on January 22, 2024 the same day Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.

Can Shashi Tharoor also get a show cause notice? He has predicted that the BJP will emerge the single largest party and the Congress and other opposition parties may still give a "try" to prevent Narendra Modi return to power.

"I still expect that the BJP will emerge as the single-largest party. But I do believe their numbers can be brought down to a level where their potential allies required to form a government may no longer be willing to ally with them and may be willing to ally with us. So we have to give it a try," the former Union minister said in a session, ‘India: The Future is Now’ at the Kerala Literature Festival (KLF).

Explaining the seat-sharing agreement of the party, Shashi Tharoor said that the agreement among all the opposition parties can vary from state to state. In some states there can be one single candidate representing all the opposition parties against the BJP, whereas, in other states, there might be two or three candidates, in which case "the voter has to choose the person they consider would best represent them", he said.

"That's the best thing they can do, and if it so happens, and there is enough divergence of views, maybe the BJP candidate will win. But that's democracy in our first-past-the-post system," he said. The 67-year-old gave the example of two neighboring states, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, to buttress his point on why the seat-sharing pattern of the INDIA bloc will vary from state to state.

"In Kerala, it is almost impossible to imagine the two major opponents here of the INDIA alliance, namely the CPI(M) and the Congress, ever agreeing on seat-sharing, but right next door in Tamil Nadu, the CPI, CPI(M), Congress and DMK are all allied together and there is no debate, no dispute.

Former Minister and South Mumbai MP, Milind Deora son of Congress veteran Murli Deora, also quit Congress.

Some of his remarks after he quit and joined Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde are important.

** He says, "The Congress has decided to oppose Narendra Modi for everything...If Modi says tomorrow, the Congress is good; then from tomorrow the Congress will say something else".

** He also said. "Congress has started abusing industrialists...".

Congress leader Milind Deora is the latest on January 14 to announce his resignation from the primary membership of Congress, bringing an end to his family's 55-year association with the party. He posted on X, “Today marks the conclusion of a significant chapter in my political journey. I have tendered my resignation from the primary membership of Congress, ending my family’s 55-year relationship with the party.…"

Deora had recently expressed his displeasure over the Shiv Sena (UBT) staking a claim to the Mumbai South Lok Sabha constituency public. Irked by UBT's staking claim to Mumbai South Lok Sabha constituency, Deora last Sunday said that if such statements by an "alliance partner" don't stop, his party too can announce candidates for seats.

Deora had won the Mumbai South seat in 2004 and 2009. He ended up as the first runner-up in the subsequent elections in 2014 and 2019 against Shiv Sena (Undivided) leader Arvind Sawant.

Now it will be crucial to look at Rahul Gandhi's so-called Young Brigade, onetime hyped and now all in different camps.

Jitin Prasada:

"I have a three-generation connection with Congress, so I took this important decision after a lot of deliberation. In the last 8-10 years, I have felt that if there is one truly national party, it is BJP. Other parties are regional," Jitin Prasada has said.

A former Union minister, Jitin comes from a well-known Brahmin family in Uttar Pradesh and served as the Congress leader in charge of West Bengal before joining the BJP in 2021.

His father Jitendra Prasada was a noted Congress leader and political advisor of PM P V Narasimha Rao.

As Congress hardly existed in Uttar Pradesh, his decision to join the BJP was viewed as a political life-saving move. In fact, he was the second aide of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to join the BJP after Jyotiraditya Scindia's defection in March 2020.

Jyotiraditya Scindia's resignation came as a jolt to the Congress and he also brought down the Kamal Nath ministry in 2020.

Jyotiraditya's father Madhav Rao Scindia served as a union minister and was considered an important leader.

A three-time Lok Sabha MP, Jyotiraditya had also played a key role in the Madhya Pradesh elections in 2018 which the party won. But he was not rewarded.

"Having been a primary member of the Congress party for the past 18 years, it is now time for me to move on. I am tendering my resignation from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress and as you well know, this path has been drawing out over the last year. To reflect and realise the aspirations of my people and my workers I believe that it is best that I now look forward to a fresh start," Scindia said on March 9, 2020.

Milind Deora propounds:

"I always believe in politics of GAIN and not PAIN," says Milind son of former Congress veteran Murli Deora,

GAIN - he explained, stood for -- Growth, Aspirations, Inclusivity and Nationalism; while according to him PAIN stands for

-- Personal Attacks, Injustice and Negativity
