President Murmu says with the Ram Mandir inauguration, India will witness the commencement of a new cycle in the resurgence of our nation.
'Ram fir lautenge', 'Virajenge Shri Ram' and 'Taiyar hai Ayodhya dham' are among the slogans used on posters and hoardings that spread across the city. Various verses from the epic 'Ramayana' have also been printed as slogans on posters at prominent spots such as Sarayu river bank, Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, and Ram Marg. The Sarayu river banks have been decked up.

The grand consecretion ceremony of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi attending the 'Pran Pratistha' rituals, will be held today. The entire temple complex as well as the Ayodhya town are adorned with flowers and lights. The doors of the Ram Temple will open at around 5:30 am and the rituals will begin at around 8 am.
Numerous gifts have been pouring in to Ayodhya for the Ram Mandir inauguration. These include bangles featuring Lord Ram images, 56 varieties of 'petha' (sweet), 500-kg iron-copper 'nagada' and the 'Onavillu' bow, rice, ladoos and vegetables - which are needed for the 'Pran Pratistha'.
Gifts also include special perfumes from Kannauj, 500 kg 'kumkum' leaves from Amravati, grains collected from a Ram temple in Delhi, flowers from Bhopal and papers with Lord Ram written 4.31 crore times from Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara. Over 3,000 gifts from Sita's birthplace in Nepal's Janakpur have also arrived in Ayodhya. A Sri Lankan delegation brought a special gift from the Ashok Vatika, a garden mentioned in the epic 'Ramayana'.
Security has been beefed up in the city as part of a multi-layered security plan ahead of the event, with around 13,000 forces, including snippets, deployed. More than 7,000 people, including politicians, industrialists, saints, and celebrities from across the country, are expected to attend the grand opening.
Ayodhya Traffic Circle officer, Rajesh Tiwari said that six parking spaces located at Rampath and Bhakti Path have been reserved for the vehicles of VVIP guests. More than 1,225 vehicles of VVIP guests will be parked there.
Besides, nine parking spaces on Dharma Path Marg and Parikrama Marg have been reserved for VIPs. Over 10,000 VIP vehicles will be parked there.
Along national highway 27, eight parking spaces have been reserved for the police force, capable of accommodating more than 2,000 police vehicles. Stringent security measures have been implemented to ensure the safety of these parking facilities.
Meanwhile, for smooth entry and exit of visitors, the Uttar Pradesh government has made parking arrangements at 51 designated locations in Ayodhya. There will be parking spaces for 22,825 vehicles, and these spots will be under constant drone surveillance and are conveniently marked on Google Maps to facilitate guests, officials said on Sunday.
Additional Director General (ADG), Traffic, BD Paulson said 51 places have been identified to park vehicles of guests coming for the consecration ceremony of Ram Mandir. These include spots at Rampath, Bhakti Path Marg, Dharma Path Marg, Parikrama Marg, Bandha Marg, Tehri Bazaar Rampath, Mahobra Marg, and Unwal Marg, among others.
President Droupadi Murmu wrote, “As you prepare yourself to go for the Pran Pratishtha of Prabhu Shri Ram's murti at the new temple built in His birthplace, Ayodhya Dham, I can only contemplate the unique civilisational journey that will be accomplished with each step taken by you in the hallowed precincts.”
She also wrote, “The nationwide celebratory atmosphere around the inauguration of the grand temple of Prabhu Shri Ram in Ayodhya Dham is an uninhibited expression of the eternal soul of India. We all are fortunate to witness the commencement of a new cycle in the resurgence of our nation.”
She added, “Prabhu Shri Ram is an embodiment of all that is good about this land of ours - indeed, about humanity at large. May He guide the world on the right path; may He bring peace and bliss to one and all!”
