First visuals of Ram Lalla inside Ayodhya Ram Mandir complex ::::: PM "Sleeping On Floor, Drinking Coconut Water" For Ram Temple Event

The highly respected Ram Lalla idol was installed inside the sanctum sanctorum as part of the rituals in the run-up to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple.

Ahead of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony on January 22, the first visuals of the idol of Ram Lalla installed inside the sanctum sanctorum (garbhagriha) of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya have surfaced.

The idol has been covered with a white cloth, reports 'India Today'. The 51-inch idol, sculpted by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj, was brought to the temple in the wee hours of Thursday, Jan 18, 2024.

This was done amid the chanting of prayers, according to the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the body was overseeing the construction of the temple.

The idea behind the 'pradhan sankalp' is that the 'pratishtha' of Lord Ram is being done for the welfare of all, for the welfare of the nation, for the welfare of humanity, and also for those who contributed to this work (related to the temple).

Other rituals were also performed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the January 22 'pran pratishtha' ceremony at the Ram Temple, which is expected to be opened to the public the next day.

Modi, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Chief of the Trust Mahant Nritya Gopal Das will be among those present at the ceremony.

The new idol weighs 150-200 kgs.

The rituals in the run-up to the “Pran Pratishtha” (consecration ceremony) began on Tuesday (Jan 16th) and will continue till January 21.

The idol will also be part of a ritual called ‘adhivas’, during which the ‘jal niwas’, ‘fal niwas’, ‘anna niwas’, ‘aushadi niwas’ and ‘ghee niwas’ for the idol will be done.

The Ram Temple “Pran Pratishtha” on January 22 will begin at 12:20 pm.

PM "Sleeping On Floor, Drinking Coconut Water" For Ram Temple Event

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is strictly following a set of rules and rituals ahead of participation in the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram temple.

According to sources, PM is strictly following "Yam rules" for the rituals.

The 11-day code includes penance and purifying the mind and body with meditation and special "satvik" diet that bars onion, garlic and several other items.

Sources said the Prime Minister is sleeping on the floor with only a blanket and has been only drinking coconut water.

The rituals for the temple consecration started from January 12.

On January 22, 2024, the Prime Minister will perform the puja for the "Pran Pratistha'.

A team of priests led by Lakshmikant Dixit will perform the main rituals of the Pran Prathistha.

Pran Pratistha' means imbibing the idol with divine consciousness and is a must for every idol that is worshipped in a temple. The auspicious time for it is 12.30 pm on January 22, the temple committee has said.

The Ram Lalla idol -- a depiction of Lord Ram at the age of five years in black stone, sculpted by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj -- has been brought to the temple complex.

The consecration will be witnessed by over 11,000 guests from across the country and abroad who have been specially invited by the temple trust.

The Central government has announced a half-day closure for all its offices till 2.30 PM on Jan 22.

The Centre has announced half day closing till 2:30 pm on 22nd January 2024, at all Central Government offices, Central institutions and Central industrial establishments throughout India on the occasion of Ram Mandir Temple Pran-pratishtha, a source said.

In the run-up to the consecration ceremony, PM Modi has asked people to conduct cleanliness drives at temples across the country. Last week, he cleaned the premises of the Kalaram Temple in Maharashtra's Nashik as part of the "Swachchata Abhiyan (cleanliness drive)".
