New Delhi has pulled up the sleeves. They realise things have probably already gone out of hands. The NDPP-BJP regime is appearing like a club of school kids or otherwise there are dangerous plans.
Just type "Send into tatters" and ask uncle uncle Google and the response is it -- Means to completely destroy or ruin something, leaving it in a state of disarray or disrepair.
It can refer to physical objects like clothing or structures, or it can be used figuratively to describe the state of a person's reputation, a plan, or even an entire economy.
Welcome to power-politics and forget the Naga talks that began in 1997 when I K Gujral was the Prime Minister.
Since Gujral, two more of his successors have lived through all that and also reached heaven -- Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Dr Manmohan Singh. Even towering Isak Chishi Swu of NSCN-IM has left for heavenly abode; but where is the Naga peace talks and who have derailed it ?
Take a pause -- and the refrain is there is a policy of 'derail and delay' and that's deliberate.
The Status quo club is so powerful today apparently that the protagonists are out to spoil the entire works carried out since 1997.
What's the real game ?
Continue the imbroglio and uncertainty and harvest the benefits otherwise available at ease ... so ease !!
These blogs have more than once have been critical on how the Naga peace talks were being handled. But there is no provocation or for those who matter -- the Naga issue is not so urgent !
On the other hand, the game at the behest of considerably influential source of power, energy and resource is on.
Lately, some organisations reportedly "appealed earnestly" to all other Naga tribal Hohos irrespective of region or affiliation to extend their moral and cultural support toward the fulfillment of common Naga aspirations.

The appeal was made with mutual respect for each community’s distinct identity and legitimate concerns.
"The meeting endorsed the initiative to undertake “A Common Journey”—a pilgrimage of presence, listening, and accompaniment to diverse districts and localities across Naga areas."
This metaphysical expression is actually the trick. This blogger has been cautioning about the well known double games ever since a Doi Mishti and fish curry dinner was organised in Kolkata.
In other words -- do everything and anything to keep the Solution at bay !
The media reports suggest there was no reference to the Framework Agreement of the hyped gathering in Delhi in 2015 and also the Agreed Position inked in 2017.
Instead there is talk about a "symbolic bridge" -- another metaphysical journey and roads. It is also pointed out that some of the relics of the past are in effect "living testaments". Ting Tong !

So what are we heading towards?
The reality check would be that all these issues and something more like 1963, 1960 and 1951 ... all these have been already discussed by NNPGs and NSCN-IM with the Govt of India.
What is this new self-imposed player trying to do?
It has no legitimacy in real sense. It was just to help facilitate the further progress but look at the manner some people (especially individuals) are taking advantage of the situation.
Will NNPGs under N Kitovi Zhimomi and also Neokpao Konyak do something or will stomach all that has been laid out ?
Some people are out there trying to hijack their 'issues' which they have legitimate right due to armed struggle for decades but the neo-protagonists are just doing the crazy deal-making business.
The Govt of India is not far from seeking reports from the state Governor La Ganesan - a former RSS functionary - and other agencies as national security is being bulldozed by some design.
We must always understand basic teachings of life -- History and 'bad leadership' must also work as a guide to another set of blunders.
Let us understand these better in terms of 'money' --- a subject that is easily most palatable.
Every individual, pensioner, youth and business people and even extortionists will be affected if there is a major failure in the banking system.
But there are smartly orchestrated double games .... the beating about the bush !
On Jan 14, 2023 --- under the aegis of FNR a 'joint statement' by the NSCN-IM and the NNPG was a landmark development. It was no mean feat that chairman of NSCN-IM Q Tuccu and also NNPG convener N Kitovi Zhimomi had inked the statement and endorsed both the Framework Agreement of 2015 and the Agreed Position of 2017.
However, within hours the poll schedules for return of NDPP-BJP regime were announced on Jan 18, things practically reached a naught. On Jan 18 (2023) evening came a statement from the NSCN-IM top leadership which negated the joint statement and also disapproved the Agreed Position inked in 2017.
"The Nagas do not acknowledge any agreements signed under the Indian Constitution," the new statement from the NSCN-IM said.
The meta-physical intellectual organisation remained silent and later almost forgot that there was a date in the calendar - Jan 14 (2023).
Why? Central agencies are also on their job.
Again this year (2025) - also Jan 14th - a trick was played.
Metaphysics was punctuated with "history".
Hence every 'unwarranted' dates were recalled -- 1929, 1947, 1951. The intent --- again -- beat around the bush and keep the Status quo club happy.
New Delhi is already able to read between the lines.
