This is India's 'new normal' --- Rajnath Singh says "Pakistan and Nuclear weapons cannot go together" ::: "Nukes not safe with Pakistan" - is a refreshing line from Delhi

"Pak's Nukes assets should be taken under the supervision of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)"

Indian Air Force (IAF) personnel raise slogans of 'Vande Mataram' and 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' as they interact with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at Srinagar Air Base.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took a neo-stance today, May 15th suggesting strongly that "Pakistan and Nuclear weapons cannot go together".

He slammed Pakistan's "inability" to handle nuclear weapons and questioned if at all the nuclear weapons are safe in the hands of such a "rogue" nation.

Hence, global agencies should monitor, he says.

After PM Narendra Modi's clear assertion - Trade and Terror and Terror and Talks cannot go together.

Bharat, that is new India's message was clear -- Terror and Pakistan cannot go together. Rajnath now waxing eloquent is a 'new normal' and will leave Islamabad actually look for cover.

"The world knows that our army's aim is accurate and when they hit the target, they leave the counting to the enemies.

How strong is India's pledge against terrorism today, it can be known from the fact that we did not even care about their nuclear blackmail. The whole world has seen how irresponsibly Pakistan has threatened India,” Rajnath Singh said while addressing the troops in the Badami Bagh Cantonment in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Defence Minister echoed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s concern over the unchecked power which Pakistan holds, and called for its nuclear weapons to be placed under international supervision.

“Today, from the land of Srinagar, I want to raise this question whether nuclear weapons are safe in the hands of such an irresponsible and rogue nation. I believe that Pakistan's nuclear weapons should be taken under the supervision of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)," he emphasised.

Needless to add -- His remarks came just days after PM Modi issued a stern warning --- “When our armed forces neutralise nuclear blackmail, our enemies realise the meaning of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.”

"The entire country is proud of what you did during Operation Sindoor under the able leadership and guidance of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I may be your Defence Minister but before that I am a citizen of India. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have expressed their anger towards Pakistan and terrorism with complete unity.

I congratulate the people of Jammu and Kashmir," the Defence Minister said.

"I have come to feel the energy that has destroyed the enemy.

The way you destroyed the Pakistani posts and weavers across the border, the enemy can never forget that", Singh said.

Singh arrived in Srinagar five days after India and Pakistan announced a ceasefire, and was received by Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi at the airport.

In a powerful address from the Valley, Singh underscored India’s unwavering resolve in the fight against terrorism.

He reiterated that under the Modi government’s redefined doctrine, any terror attack on Indian soil will be treated as an act of war.
