India extends NOTAM for Pakistan flights for one month; to be in effect till 23rd June, 2025

Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu says, "The NOTAM has been extended. We have maintained the status quo..."

He further said:  "For the time being, on grounds of national security, we've removed the Turkish players from ground handling services, cargo services...we are not seeing any problem in the operations.

We are going to take guidance from the security agencies in this regard..."

In aviation sector, NOTAM stands for Notice to Air Missions. NOTAMs provide pilots and other aviation professionals with critical, time-sensitive information that might impact flight safety, such as runway closures or temporary flight restrictions etc.

On the incident involving IndiGo flight 6E214, the Civil Aviation Minister said:

"Regarding the emergency landing that has happened with Delhi-Srinagar flight, we are looking into the incident. DGCA is investigating the incident. I would like to appreciate the efforts of the pilots and the crew. We are very thankful that no incident has happened and everyone is safe. But we are going to thoroughly investigate it.

We are waiting for the investigation report from the DGCA once that comes, and if we see any wrongdoing, then we are going to take action."

On all party delegations' visit, Indian Ambassador to the UAE, Sunjay Sudhir, said:

"It was a very successful visit. India and the UAE have been working very closely as strategic partners. Ever since the 22nd April, the Pahalgam terror attacks and their aftermath, our leadership has been in touch...

This visit was actually a very important one for us to share our perspectives and discuss the overall issue of terrorism.

Also, to share the tenets of the new normal, the Prime Minister has been talking about. The multiparty delegation was very well received in the UAE by a senior cabinet minister..."

Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde says, "In the days to come, if some mean acts are committed by Pakistan, our country and the armed forces will give a firm response, the way we did in Operation Sindoor".

Shrikant Shinde also said:

"...Our message is very clear that we won't tolerate terrorism and if times demand, we will take even stricter steps against terrorism. Terror and trade cannot go together, water and blood cannot flow together - this is an apt message.

If you (Pakistan) stop terrorism, then only we can talk. We are the country that retaliates with restraint...".

BJP leader S S Ahluwalia says, "...When we came here and told them (UAE) all the chain of events with all the facts and figures, the reaction they gave and what they said

- we hadn't expected this much. They said that we were with India, we are with India, and we will continue to be with India..."

Biju Janata Dal MP Dr Sasmit Patra said:

"UAE and India have a common ethos of peace, brotherhood and nonviolence. Apart from that, we have excellent bilateral relations between India and the UAE, not only in trade and commerce, but also in that about 4.3 million Indians are presently in the UAE.

That accounts for almost 40 per cent of the total population, which is the largest expat population. That only shows that India and UAE are committed to a strong relationship, a longstanding relationship, and this visit is only going to strengthen our resolve more to work together to ensure that this terrorism and this vice of terrorism is crushed and crushed significantly and decisively..."

Patra also said:

"Over the last two days, we have been in the UAE. Our meetings in Abu Dhabi and now in Dubai have been extremely successful. The message of strength, resoluteness and exposing Pakistan for its terrorism, perpetuating behaviour and activities has been successfully communicated in the UAE, and also Operation Sindoor and India's fight against terrorism has been very clearly portrayed.

We found extremely positive, encouraging and extremely optimistic statements and feedback from the UAE authorities, UAE leadership...UAE, after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, immediately issued a statement condemning it in the strongest of measures and rest assured that UAE and India are close, we stand together".

"We are very confident and very happy with the kind of very positive messages, positive statements and positive feedback that we have got from the leadership and various sections of UAE."

Indian Ambassador to the UAE, Sunjay Sudhir, also said:

"...When it came to the OIC declaration, which was initially set to be one of the typical skewed declarations, the UAE played a big role in getting a reference inserted on terrorism.

I think that itself was a very big thing and in the times to come also we will continue working on dealing with terrorism and trying to eliminate it in all forms..."

Sudhir further maintained: "The Middle East is a part of our extended neighbourhood. The Middle East actually hosts a huge Indian diaspora.

They are our third-largest trading partner and the second-largest export destination. It's a very important country for us, and in the last ten years, Prime Minister Modi has been to this country seven times...".

Meanwhile in
Moscow,

Leonid Slutsky, Chair of the Duma Committee on International Affairs, says,

"...We strongly condemn terrorism.

We expressed our deepest condolences to the Indian side in connection with the heinous terrorist attack in Kashmir on April 22. We agreed to enhance inter-parliamentary cooperation, which was facilitated by the recent visit of State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin to India, in the format of inter-party cooperation .....

in the format of cooperation between specialized committees, in the format of friendly relations and, of course, in the format of the closest professional cooperation, which the parliaments of Russia and India equally need today...".

Former Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Fradkov, who heads the Russian Institute of Strategic Studies (RISS) had a fruitful interaction with the MPs

- Kanimozhi, Rajeev Rai, Captain Brijesh Chowta (Retd), Prem Chand Gupta, Ashok Mittal and Ambassador Manjeev Puri.
