Scalp, Hammer: India's weapons of choice to hit Pak terror camps
First visual proof of airstrike in Pakistan, Hafiz Saeed-linked mosque hit
Operation Sindoor: Rafale jets armed with SCALP cruise missiles and HAMMER precision-guided munitions were used for the strikes on terror camps in Pakistan.
China says India's operation 'regrettable'
In response to a question on escalating tensions between the South Asian rivals, the foreign ministry spokesperson, said they were "concerned" about the ongoing situation and asked both countries to "remain calm, exercise restraint and refrain from taking actions that may further complicate the situation".
"Request No One be boastful of #IndiansurgicalStrike on terror camps operating inside Pakistan. Its was a strike back of relief for a nation which was in pain on the loss of innocent lives. Thank Government of India for a mature and restrained strike," former police official Kiran Bedi.
The missile strikes deep inside Pakistan targeting terror camps were not just calibrated but also had a high impact. And India's weapons of choice were the Scalp cruise missiles and HAMMER precision-guided munitions that were equipped on the Rafale fighter jets, sources said.
Moments after the break of midnight, missiles rained down on nine locations in Pakistan, including Bahawalpur and Muridke, the strongholds of terror outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba respectively.
The image of Operation Sindoor has a black background with the words 'Operation Sindoor' written in white.
One of the Os in Sindoor is a round pot filled with vermillion powder worn by married Hindu women in the parting of their hair.
The military move was aptly named 'Operation Sindoor' as terrorists had targeted Hindu men and the April 22, 2025 tragedy had left several Hindu women wailing as their husbands were killed mercilessly and without any provocation.
Apart from the Air Force, the Navy and the Army were also involved in the operation - a retaliation to the horrific attack in Pahalgam by Pakistan-based terrorists that left 25 tourists and a local person dead.
The Scalp, also known as Storm Shadow, is an air-launched cruise missile
