India launched precision strikes overnight on four key Pakistani airbases
- Noor Khan in Rawalpindi, Murid in Chakwal, and Rafiqui in Shorkot - causing heavy damage to military infrastructure and assets.
The operation followed a series of drone attacks from Pakistan across the border.
In retaliation, India also hit terror launch pads and military posts in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir’s Neelam Valley and Sialkot, which were being used to deploy tube-launched drones targeting Indian positions in Jammu, according to defence sources.
Pakistan fired a long-range missile aimed at a strategic Indian site. The missile was intercepted and destroyed by Indian Air Defence Systems in the Western Sector.
Debunking claims of Pakistani propaganda, the Govt of India shows time-stamped images of Indian air bases undamaged.
Wing Commander Vyomika Singh says,
"In a swift and calibrated response, Indian armed forces carried out a precision strike only at identified military targets...
Pakistan has also attempted to execute a continued malicious misinformation campaign, with claims of destruction of the Indian S-400 system, destruction of airfields at Surat and Sirsa...
India unequivocally rejects these false claims being spread by Pakistan."
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri says:
"I have said on numerous earlier occasions, it is Pakistani actions that have constituted provocations and escalations.
In response, India has defended and reacted in a responsible and measured fashion to these provocations and escalations by the Pakistani side. Earlier this morning, we saw a repeat of this escalatory and provocative pattern."
Col Sofiya Qureshi says, "Pakistani army is continuously attacking the western borders; it has used drones, long-range weapons, loitering munitions and fighter jets to attack India's military sites...
"India neutralised many dangers, but Pakistan tried to infiltrate via Air at more than 26 places, and they damaged our equipment and personnel at air force bases in Udhampur, Bhuj, Pathankot, Bathinda.
They used high-speed missiles at 1:40 am to target Punjab's air base. They even attacked health facilities and schools..," she said.

"The way Pakistanis have quoted the statements of Rahul Gandhi, Satyapal Malik, Mallikarjun Kharge and other leaders to give themselves a clean chit in Pulwama and Pahalgam, clearly show the Congress starts voicing Pakistan when the latter is isolated." says BJP spokesman Shehzad Poonawalla.
The BJP spokesperson also said:
"Today, it is beyond shocking that Congress is behaving less like the opposition party in India and more like the Pakistani ranger because time and again they have provided a hand of support to Pakistan whenever it is isolated".
However, he pointed out that Pakistan is getting a befitting reply from the Indian Armed forces.
"This shows that in 'Modi Virodh' or 'BJP Virodh', the Congress can stoop to level to do 'Desh Virodh' and 'Pakistan Parasti'," he said.
The BJP leader said:
"Congress and Pakistan are like two bodies and one soul... In all party meeting, they claim to put national policy above everything but outside, they demean and question the Indian armed forces, give clean chit to Pakistan and show new patterns of 'Pakistan Parasti' daily.
They should be ashamed of themselves for doing this on international platform.
"This is not the first time though, they did it after 26/11, during Article 370 issue, during Samjhauta blast. They always give Pakistan a handle so that they can use it on the international platform and play the victimhood card...", he added.
